I remember NTers commenting on handball during the 2008 Olympics. It was the first time they saw it and they liked it. Didn't seem to change the popularity of the sport in the U.S. though, and it will probably be forgotten once the Olympics end.

But it really is a great sport.

it's sad, people really don't get HOW good and HOW difficult the things dude did and is doing are/is..

hell, even lochte's coach thought dude could sorta pull what phelps did off.. hence why he snuck him on the 4 x 100 free relay when lochte really didn't earn it

phelps earned it the last 3 olympics by being either the fastest or the 2nd fastest american in the 100 free (he was the 2nd fastest in '04.. tied for first in '08 and 1st solely this round).. lochte was 7th based off of the trials

that up the ante.. and we all know who he was referring to.. and that's obviously biting off A LOT right there

phelps should still win 4 gold medals: 100 & 200 fly, 4 x 200 free relay and 4x 100 medley relay

- and the 200 IM is a toss up between him and lochte

lochte should win the 200 back.. will get a gold on the 4 x 200 free relay and then the 200 IM is a toss up

I remember playing it as a kid, very fun. The France vs Spain game was among the better games I watched, really enjoyed it.

Kind of like the amount of attention curling had gotten in the 06 winter Olympics...though handball is much more easily accessible.  I remember a lot of people talking about how they needed to try curling.

So NBC aired a promo for the Today Show w/ Missy Franklin showing her with her gold medal RIGHT BEFORE they aired the race she won it in. 

I just realized this.
