4 individuals.. each one swimming a 100 of 1 of the 4 strokes.. the US should win pretty easily
grevers will swim the 100 backstroke leg (the guy who won gold in the event by almost a second.. that's the first leg)
hensen will swim the 100 breaststroke leg (he won the bronze in the event.. that's the second leg)
phelps will swim the 100 fly leg (he's the favorite in the event.. 3rd leg)
and adrian will anchor with the 100 free (he's been doing really well in the event.. the 2nd fastest guy going into the 100 free final)

Yeah, people are od'ing with those type of comments. How he does in these Olympics doesn't taint the amazing things he did in Beijing. No one was expecting him to be at that kind of level in these Olympics. Swimmers seem to fade fast. I see them mention the past gold medal winners, world championship medalists, and world record holders before a race and some of them don't even medal in these events or are the favorites.

the 4 x 100 free relay was so hyped because it is the only relay ON PAPER that should be close.. hell coming in the US had the 3rd ranked team (behind australia and france.. russia also had a solid team)
australia was the heavy favorite with having the 2 fastest guys (magnussen and roberts) in the world this year along with the former world record holder (sulliven) and another solid guy for 4th (targett)
