2012 Summer Olympics Thread: London July 27 - August 12

There's usually one or two Russian gymnasts every Olympics who give stares like they will cut you with a shank at the lunch line.

Do I want to risk crossing a crazy Russian girl? Probably not.

Would I? Da

Totally worth it.

I had a few Russian friends in high school and there was this one really crazy Russian girl. She seemed mental.

On a side note, please stop showing Phelps' mom. How did she become a star and have more screen time than most of the swimmers combined? :|

^Started in Beijing

mustafina prob kick you out of your own bed and tell you to leave your own home
what a diva :hat

Mustafina :o

And damn I really do hate these spoilers can't even enjoy browsing Twitter and Facebook in peace. Bob Costas literally goes, ".... And congrats to Gaby on getting the gold" RIGHT before they're about to show her compete :{

This all-round final would've been better if I didn't see people congratulating Gabby this morning :{. I really do need to stay away from these threads in the morning so I don't get spoiled.
Why didn't they show the Russian girl's floor exercise score on the screen? It seemed like it was going to be real close. She didn't mess up any of her landings and had no major errors. 8o

wordd the russian routine was flawless

I think it came down to Gabby's aerial assaults, she twists like 18 times, dat sh cray.
But the russian chick had landings on point.

IF GABBY STEPPED OUT :eek

would've been like .0000000001

I still think Jordyn Wieber is the prettiest girl on the U.S. Women's Gymnastics Team. Maybe should wait a year to say so but what the heck. Girl from my college looks exactly like her, it's shocking. Aly Raisman a close second for me.

Nah bro she's the least good looking of the 5. Kyla has a lot of potential.

It isn't unexpected, but it is a little overboard how the coverage is heavily biased toward the US. I have no problem with it (and should be expected, no different than local commentators being biased for your home team) but it makes me :x sometimes.

Konova's floor exercise was damn near flawless.
