No, cousins just loves taking contested 18 footers. His game would improve drastically, if he passed that up and reposted, or set a screen and got a cleaner look.
he takes most of his jumpers at the beginning of games, to pull the opposing big man away from the basket. because it opens up the rim for his teammates and also once he pulls the defender away from the hoop, he has the off the dribble game to blow by most, if not all, opposing centers.  how is that not a good strategy?

i think it all comes down to what someone prefers from their C. Do they want a go 2 option that can score or someone that can lead a team defensively and rebound?

Brook Lopez might arguably be the best offensive C in the league, but I wouldnt want him as my C.

I rather have a C that rebounds, can run run the floor, and anchor my defense.

i think ideally every team would like a  situation with a PF-C combo of one of each player.  like for example a defensive anchor like Roy Hibbert paired with a scorer like Cousins.

i know the Kings have expressed interest in adding a shotblocking defensive Center and sliding DeMarcus to the PF position, which he welcomed and said in an interview that he feels PF is actually his natural position.

Bradley Beal loves playing the Thunder :lol

4-5 for 11pts in the first

speaking of centers, where does al jefferson rank among his peers?
He has to play this year before things can be said IMO. Dude got paid and now is coasting out there. They keep saying its the teams decision but I doubt it, we've seen this song and dance before. Dude gets paid and just starts to slack. That $23,000 bed and him are real familiar right now

The kings need to know their role as the rockets farm system and give is DMC and Jimmer for Asik

the Kings-Rockets trades was a connection between the Maloof family and also the GM.  so the annual Kings-Rockets trades wont be happening anymore. (althought Asik does make a lot of sense so i wouldn't be surprised if they go for him)

but you guys can keep our sloppy seconds.  Casspi, Garcia and Brooks are GARBAGE

Thabo just crossed Gortat and made him fall on the baseline. Yes Thabo Sefolosha. Of course he missed the shot so that video will disappear to Bolivia never to be seen again I am sure

MCW: 15-36 3pt (41.7%) in 7 gms.
Rondo : 11-48 3pt (22.9%) in FIRST TWO SEASONS (155gms)
Yeah I think MAYBE one of them can shoot!?

It's not a good strategy when you can only shoot 32% from outside the paint. It's not a good strategy to take 5 jump shots a game when you can't take jump shots. Trust me, Demarcus isn't pulling anyone out of the paint by throwing up 3-4 bricks a game. It CLEARLY isn't helping much since he's only shooting 45% from the field.

I think it's pretty safe to say that Cousins has some talent (not nearly as much as people think, he has many flaws) but he has some work to do before taking that step to the next level. Shot selection. Defense. TOs. In terms of efficiency, he's nowhere near where he should be for a big man. This has nothing to do with his terrible attitude too. He just has major flaws as a basketball player if he wants to be a top player on a team.

^ and this is what happens when people make judgments from looking at stats online opposed to watching the player actually play, you obviously don't watch Cousins much.  his jumpshots aren't bricks, his stroke is very nice.  most of his missed shots are when he throws up bad shots trying to draw fouls when he is well defended in the paint area (yes he has bad shot selection when it comes to that and needs to improve on it)

here are his highlights from friday night, are you really going to watch this and tell me that this is a guy who should just abandon the midrange jumper?
