Bumphis tweet says and means nothing.

he is trying to keep Chris Jones from Flipping to from Miss St (Bumphis' Alma mater) to Ole Miss.

Its what would be considered "Dirty Macking"

Ol' " He cant Love U like I Love u" type tweet.

Timmons to UK was always going to be

To each his own but that's how I interpreted Hugh Freeze's tweet. Why be defensive if you've done nothing wrong? That's an admission of guilt.

Everyone has blood on their hands, especially in the SEC so you pretty much have to do what you can to land recruits, but if this many people are questioning how the Rebels are landing the quality of players they are, wouldn't you be the least suspicious?

Ryan Timmons picks UK over OSU and Florida.
I think florida knows they're getting clark so they turned timmons away and ohio st will hold a spot forever for bell even if it's unlikely that he'll end up there.

maybe this ray lewis,ed reed and mckinnie momentum gets us a few extra signings
al golden needs to send rick ross and ray lewis to recruit , those two taking turns on
talking about miami's legacy in some kids living room should be :hat  and :lol

Ross is an FSU fan. Or a Gator. Depending on the day of the week. He's been known to switch identities up.

yeah, heard OSU has one slot open.

UCLA gotta be worried about Priest waiting til after signing day.

LSU is after him and theyve asked a couple kids to take grey shirts.

Excuse my ignorance but what exactly is a grey shirt?

Essentially delaying your enrollment until the next January.

You won't be on scholly and if you take classes you can only take up to a certain amt of hours. It allows for more scholarships to be available for the current year

also and more importantly, if you actually enroll in the fall, You will be paying your own way which is the real Deal breaker.

Sort of (in regards to Rook's post). But you aren't allowed to participate with the team. So no practicing, lifting on your own...stuff like that.

Looks like Hatcher is UK's to lose.

Grey shirting is rare with a player with multiple offers, also the route taken when a player doesn't get cleared by the NCAA Clearinghouse.

Got it. Thanks

if freeze says something he is guilty if he doesnt say anything he is guilty. so pick your posion, think he was tired of the kids getting there name dragged threw the mud

Doesn't that essentially mean these Grey shirts would have to have some money to then pay for their schooling? Does that not open the door for where might those finances come from? 8o

Same thing I was thinking...

I remember somebody in this thread joked about how Nick Saban convinces recruits to Greyshirt and now I see probably why there cool with it :lol

So then how does a regular 18 year old come up with the coin to pay for school then, not on scholly?

Uhhhhh...UGA is in the same exact boat.
Uhhhh...no we are not. Last year was our first Top 5 Class (#5) since 2006 (#1).

Which rankings are you looking at?

Rivals:

2002: UGA #3 FSU#4
2003: UGA #6 FSU#21
2004: UGA #9 FSU#4
2005: UGA #10 FSU#2
2006: UGA #4 FSU#3
2007: UGA #9 FSU#21
2008: UGA #7 FSU#9
2009: UGA #6 FSU#7
2010: UGA #15 FSU#10
2011: UGA #5 FSU#2
2012: UGA #12 FSU#6

Dude said if production was based on recruiting rankings, FSU would be winning Championships. Y'all have both had similar rankings though...

It's hilarious that two knuckleheads who've been talking about all the high schoolers their so happy about cheering for are now trying to downplay all that? Like every year it hasn't been some slogan how this year class is bringing them rings or some ********. Y'all underachieve like CRAZY all things considered.

And again, so does Clemson. We suck. Our Rivals rankings in those years: 22, 67, 61, 17, 16, 16, 12, 37, 19, 8, 14

Meh, not anymore.  every sec school dirty recruits. in Ole Miss' case it might legit just be that kids like the coach and the idea of being the best class in school history and the first to win anything worth a damn in years is pretty appealing. when you're 17, hype has a lot to do with the decisions you make.

i think freeze tweeted that mostly because his personality is the type to get defensive real quick and confront any naysayers when others would just ignore the grumbling.

They usually don't attend school (in the fall) they just work until the next January. Sometimes they take summer classes.

And it's not like they can't take out student loans. The situation of them being paid wouldn't come up, because the highly regarded/wanted players who "get paid" would never get grey shirted in the first place.

Ok, that makes sense. I was looking at it from the perspective someone mentioned that if their grades were not up to par, greying them would be a way around it, and if a school goes to that much trouble to get a kid, bad grades and all, then there must be something to him, on the field.

I see what you guys are sayin now. Thanks for clearin that up.
