2013 NFL Draft thread - ( Early Entrees, Mocks, Combine etc )

I have avoided all discussion of the Dallas Cowboys until now just in case Jerry pulled some moves that could salvage the first two days. Now that it is certain my eyes weren't deceiving me, I'll try and be as polite as I can be while conveying my feelings.

What in all the bloody **** is goin on with the Dallas Cowboys? I mean, it's sad when a 2 round reach is the best pick of your draft class. We took a center/guard that could have been had at least at 47, at 31 after trading down with top need players on the board.

But let's put that aside for a second and look at something more alarming, and what I'm convinced proves Jerry Jones is a liability. The Ravens and 49ers played in the Super Bowl. We trade our 18th pick to the 49ers and they draft a safety to fill the spot left by Gholson. We haven't had a solid safety in Dallas in over a decade and it is our #1 need. By the way, we only received a 3rd rd pick to lose 13 spots in the first round. Then we REACH for the center from Wisconsin and watch Ozzie Newsome take a safety to fill the spot Ed Reed left. Does anyone see something wrong with this picture? This illustrates how bad Jerry Jones has been for this franchise.

Now, let's put all of THAT aside and focus on the next three picks. We drafted a TE for the second straight year when we had other holes to fill. In the second ******g round we draft a tight end. The Dallas Cowboys drafted a tight end in the second round of the draft. We already had a project tight end in Hanna and we draft another in the second round. If that wasn't enough, we take a WR in the third round. The first thing I thought of when we went 8-8 last year was that we needed another tight end and wide receiver. That was our problem. Then, to just put the icing on the cake, Jarrah finally drafts a safety in the fourth round. Here is the kicker; the ******g guy was a running back/wide receiver his first three years of college. We are switching from a 3-4 to 4-3 and drafted 3 offensive players and a running back at safety with our first four picks of the draft.

In summary, Jerry Jones has lost his ******g mind.

yeah idk what the Cowboys doin

its comical at this point

I need someone to take Barkley before Oakland decides to take a flier on him.

I'm with ya...

Only because Oakland is where talent goes to die.

Not shocked that he fell out of the first round, shocked that he'll be a day 3 pick. Hope he lands in a good spot.

Cowboys, wow, :{ Jerry is the new Al Davis, except he's a better business man than Al ever was so he has that going for him.

Pretty damn pleased with the Lions draft.

Warford in the 3rd?

I love it.

Upon further review I don't see how Ansah can fail unless he just doesn't like football which is possible.

What are you wanting from here on?

I am thinking either a OLB or WR in the 4th, then another corner in the 5th, maybe Poyer if he falls there.

DE Alex Okafor
WR Quinton Patton
OLB Khaseem Greene
WR Da'Rick Rogers
S Bacarri Rambo

I'll turn backflips if they can get one of these players the rest of the draft.

I was actually gonna say that when teams like the Steelers, Ravens, Patriots draft, I usually pay attention because of the organization involved. It usually validates any personal evaluation you might have on a player that no one may be talking about.

Case in point...The Wheaton pick. Love it.

Wheaton is a great pick(I know I am a beavers fan). He has great speed, awesome hands and can go up and get the ball real well for someone his size. Really surprised he wasn't talked about more.

If I'm the Cowboys I try to get Okafor and Barrett Jones and save face. Judging by Jerry's clueless decision making so far, we will go after a RB and kicker.

We traded our 4th last year to the Vikings to draft Ronnell Lewis.

He was on the business end of a police taser last Saturday. He had two tackles all of last year.

Khaseem Green and Alex Okafor are going to be on the board when that pick comes up and both would start next year. :{

kinda like that we took two players from Rutgers....Rutgers had a pretty solid defense and they run a pro like system

To be fair Ronnell Lewis was never given any playing time. And when he was our dumb coaching staff was adamant at putting him at DE when he should have been playing as a OLB in place of Levy.

Speaking of which I am still pissed we reupped Levy's deal, dude is the worst starting OLB in the league. I hope we can get a guy like Greene to take his place.

Barkley and Nassib still on the board couldn't make me any happier. This means the Vikes can be primed to take Tyler Wilson in the 5th or 6th round. Steal!!!

Man.. Curious to see when these guys go.. Hopefully eagles get Scott in the 5th

*shrugs* maybe talent was wasted when Al was in charge, but all you can say about this Oakland regime now is that they're unproven. Which is better than what you said.

I hope Cowboy fans aren't comforted by knowing that Jerry Jones is a better business man :lol .

Steelers have had success and seem to almost prefer the smaller WRs as well. Should hopefully work out

Bray, Wilson and Jones all were potential 1st rounder QBs last year and now are third day or priority free agents

Why is everyone so down on Sammy Bradford? I like him next season alot..just sucks he plays in a division where he plays Niners & Hawks D' 4 times.

I wanna see bradford succeed

I used to get really excited about the draft but you really cant judge til 4 years later and by then you'll have forgot.

I want to bring back the 09 NFL Draft thread to see how all those"great" picks turned out

One of these three "can't miss" LTs WILL be a bust. The question is... Who gets screwed?

Packers did well.

Come December and January NOBODY is going to want to tackle Lacy in that freezing cold and frozen tundra at Lambeau.
