Your 2015 first-round pick is owed to Phoenix as part of the Steve Nash trade unless it's in the top five. There is already talk that you should tank to try to keep that pick. How do you respond to that?

Jim: It will never happen here, period. The question is insulting. Our fans understand there's a process. They believe in the process -- the coach, Kobe, the draft pick [Julius Randle] and the flexibility we have going forward.

No Jim. I believe in the Draft picks. **** your coach, **** Kobe, and **** you. Draft picks, and flexibility, those are the only two things we have going for us you dumb ************. Screw that up, and you're finished. You'll be stepping down real soon.

C CP1708 LOL I wonder....Some times I really think they just say this crap to save face. I mean truly they have to know that they can't let that pick go. Mitch can't be that stupid!!! He can't....

He really can't.....

really......

:{

I pray they are just saying that to say it. I really pray.

Cuz we're screwed if they mean it.

The Kobe hate is creepy :lol

All the guy ever did was play hard, compete, and win and got really good at all 3.

All that good guy bad guy talk is cheesy, the guy puts squads on his back and balls, can't ask for much more than that from a basketball player :smokin

KOBE was never a leader and never will be. The games in Boston and in Phoenix Where he just gave up and refused to get the ball prove that to me. Magic or Michael would never have done that. He's always been a premadona and a selfish player. Great player yes, but not a leader.

Lakers were losing by 15 at Half. Kobe had 23 points on 8/13. Sooooooooooooooooooooo what you wanted was him to shoot and score more because that was clearly working right?

The rest of the Lakers at half:
Cook 6 points 3/5
Kwame 6 points 1/6
Odom 4 points 2/8
Smush 4 points 2/6
Luke 2 points 1/4

It's clear that the rest of the team scoring 22 points on 10/29 shooting is why they were down 15. Perhaps, it was important to try and get others rolling in order to get the game close because Kobe ball was not working even on a very efficient night.

He plays hero ball, he gets killed. He defers when even an efficient night of hero ball had them down by 15 at half, and gets killed.

Jim says enough that I think he might have a plan. Or at least knows what he's doing.

Jeanie needs to stop talking.

Jim's got two years to save his position and turn this around. I dont think he's looking at the draft to save him.

That big Time Warner TV deal ( $ 122 million per year :x ) wont let them go through that "rebuilding phase" that most teams have to. Which is great for the fans.

Just look at what the Dodgers and Angels have done after getting huge TV deals.

You have no idea what you are talking about. You mentioning the Phoenix and Boston games prove that to me.

Do you not the remember the playoff series against Phoenix where we are getting blitz and Kobe comes out in the second half with the Don't pass me the pass attitude?

Do you not remember the game in the 08 finals where we are getting blown out and he refuses to even touch the ball?

Tell me what leader would do that? I never saw Magic do that. Never saw Jordan do that. Never saw those 2 get blown out by 40+ at the garden in a finals game.

Kobe is a great player and I will always respect him for that. but as far as a leader. never saw him act like one. Even in those laker championship years of 09 and 10'

So what excuse do you have for him in the Boston Game? in 2008??

May 27, 1985 Lakers lost Game 1 to the Celtics 114 - 148. Not 40 points, but 34 is pretty bad. At the Garden as well.

One of the biggest differences between the two stars from my perspective was Michael's superior skills as a leader," Jackson said. "Though at times he could be hard on his teammates, Michael was masterful at controlling the emotional climate of the team with the power of his presence. Kobe had a long way to go before he could make that claim. He talked a good game, but he'd yet to experience the cold truth of leadership in his bones, as Michael had."

On offense, Jackson said: "Jordan was also more naturally inclined to let the game come to him and not overplay his hand, whereas Kobe tends to force the action, especially when the game isn't going his way. When his shot is off, Kobe will pound away relentlessly until his luck turns. Michael, on the other hand, would shift his attention to defense or passing or setting screens to help the team win the game."

I think these quotes are fair, especially coming from PJ.  Oh well, wanna see how things go tonight against the Spurs.  Heard TD got hurt, not sure if POP is gonna rest guys against LA, like how the Kings did w/ Cousins. lol

Yeah, you don't know what you're talkin about. No biggie.

He should get props for expressing himself though.  He didn't come here with one line tweets.  Community should be receptive to fans, cheers and criticism.

phil also said kobe skill wise, was better than mj :smokin

Why because I am hating on your beloved KOBE HAHAHA. Believe what you want. Just starting facts. More then just coming in here and saying ohh your dumb I am right, end of story. :rolleyes

I personally encourage others to write and express themselves.

Let me know when you two encourage to be accurate with the facts, not drop incorrect bull ****. Then get back to me.

As Essential already pointed out, and you two missed, the Memorial Day Massacre was a thing, where the Celtics dropped 148 points on Magic's ***. In the Finals. It happened, trying knowing about it before you run off at the mouth about Kobe losing a blowout and hyping Magic as "never woulda let that happen"

Do you not remember the game in the 08 finals where we are getting blown out and he refuses to even touch the ball?

You mean the game 6 where Kobe shot TWENTY TWO TIMES, and no other Laker had more than 8? THAT game where Kobe "refused to touch the ball?" The other 4 starters had 25 shots if you were interested in being accurate. (I know you aren't)

Again, so since we cleared up the little issue about you two not knowing what you're speakin about, continue to pat each other on the back about speaking out, accurate or not. By all means, be my guest.

But if you want to really speak out, try getting your ******* facts right before running your mouths. I told you it was cool you didn't know what you're talkin about, let it be at that. But that wasn't enough for you. Hopefully now you got the hint, and we can move on. :smokin
