y'all really gonna have a revolving door? firing and hiring a coach each year isn't gonna help you rebuild. pick someone good and give them 5 years. whether it's byron or not, stability is needed.

for discussion's sake, just off some of the conversation going on in the NBA draft thread. if the lakers land in the top 5, both towns and okafor are gone, would you guys trade the pick to the 76ers for embiid?
when kobe retires, i hope they take a chance on a young coach a la brad stevens to build with.
i've been giving him the benefit of the doubt the majority of the year. i didn't want to be wrong about him but jesus, he is making me eat my words. even though the lakers are rebuilding, thats just not the culture/mindset/attitude i want in the lakers coach going forward. hope they get rid of him ASAP.
i apologize for being such a contrarian in regards to byron's employment. please forgive me.
"Nah," Young said of buying into his coach's advice. "I don't know. I feel like it's just a target toward me. It's a little unfair. But it's cool."

at Byron's comment.
Not as much flack for those comments as last year when D'Antoni was cracking jokes.
Edit:

This is going to be gold.
his personality would also fit in perfectly in Los AngelasI'd need to be 10000000000000000000% sure he was healthy.
He and Randle healthy = great.
He and Randle health risk = greater.
If you could prove he was healthy, yes I would deal #3 for Embiid. He fits the C profile we want to supplement Randle at PF.

Shouldn't the blame be on the Laker base/Media for not going after B Scott hard enough? I mean as much as Magic loves the Lakers I don't see him dragging one of his best friends through the mud for their success. He's not you
moving on from him makes sense, but man, that next hire better be perfect. you can't bring in young talent and continually have a couching carousel. that's how guys never develop.y'all really gonna have a revolving door? firing and hiring a coach each year isn't gonna help you rebuild. pick someone good and give them 5 years. whether it's byron or not, stability is needed.
Byron's proven he's pretty bad, even considering the quality of the roster. I'd rather continue the revolving door than stabilize on this dope, even if it's not a good look.
you have a point, i cant think of anyone worst than bscottCurrent coach is the worse coach ever.
EVER.
(collectively)
Jim's bartender friend?I can. Just can't think of his name.
Mostly because he hasn't been hired yet.
But I'm telling you, THAT guy, whoever he will be... worst EVER.
yall should hire Kurt Rambis or Brian Shaw next
