y'all really gonna have a revolving door? firing and hiring a coach each year isn't gonna help you rebuild. pick someone good and give them 5 years. whether it's byron or not, stability is needed.

^ i've always maintained the viewpoint that the coach doesn't matter as long as kobe is on the team and capable of starting most nights. he is just too strong of a personality and set in his ways to really change his play style of being the focal point of the offense.
when kobe retires, i hope they take a chance on a young coach a la brad stevens to build with.

for discussion's sake, just off some of the conversation going on in the NBA draft thread. if the lakers land in the top 5, both towns and okafor are gone, would you guys trade the pick to the 76ers for embiid?
I'd need to be 10000000000000000000% sure he was healthy.
He and Randle healthy = great.
He and Randle health risk = greater.
If you could prove he was healthy, yes I would deal #3 for Embiid. He fits the C profile we want to supplement Randle at PF.

Byron's proven he's pretty bad, even considering the quality of the roster. I'd rather continue the revolving door than stabilize on this dope, even if it's not a good look.

The Laker "official media" never goes after anybody. They want to keep their jobs. They didn't go after Mike Brown, MDA, or Byron.
The Laker bloggers, website folks, Twitter, us in here, etc, are the ones that are killing Byron, as we should. And that can get loud over time. (See the tanking shift within the fanbase from 18 months ago, to now)
But last year, mouth pieces like Magic and Worthy were all over MDA, and praised Byron to ****. Suddenly, they real quiet. Like we all stupid and don't see that ****.
