It's the mileage.
Remember, Mitch brought in Matt Barnes and Steve Blake in 2011 to help out Kobe, Pau, Bynum, Odom, and Artest.
They still came up short. They were on E with the light blinking.
That's where Miami is with their core. They need new blood to infuse around their high mileage players.

new blood is DEFINITELY needed but people are acting like it has to be another all-star (see: Deng, Lowry...even Gortat) or else Lebron is going to be unhappy and leave.
I am more disgusted with these star players more than anyone.

LA never brought in youngins, never bothered to really develop them. especially in this day and age, you will see high turnover. the biggest issue is if they can contend.

you do realize the lakers were championship contenders for so long that they werent anywhere near the lottery except for the year they drafted bynum right?
the teams were designed to win now, and they won "a lot" ( dj khaled voice)
you dont win rings with 1st or 2nd year players, you need veterans.
thats why the team is where it is now, those players have aged and now we need to rebuild. we got a lottery pick and lots of cap space to retool.
Randle is 6-9ish... how is he undersized for his position? hes not a center...hes a 4 who knows how to use his body in the paint, i think he'll be just fine. laker fans arent the only ones who are saying he might end up as the steal of the draft

thats exactly my point. but i dont think LA will be patient. Management made some terrible decisons which proally hurt them big time. I mean, landing D12 was a very big move, but they failed to bring in the right coaches and players. How can u not contend with dwight, gasol and kobe? Oh well, they paid a hefty price tag and now have no choice but to see if their precious draft pick develops.
FYI, last I heard, LA had no coach, so no one knows who will play what. Randle was a safe pick, and definitely a movable asset.
