You know I was asked the Melo question earlier today by a friend and this was my response
"I don't care at this point. The product is so bad right now that at least it will be entertaining to watch. As it stands right now I'm not really even interested in watching the product. That's not to say I'm not going to watch (because I am) but there's no level of excitement. I'm not expecting a championship. I'm not even expecting a playoff series win of Melo comes. But it's better than expecting to be a bottom 5 team and not even being able to accomplish that when the pieces were in place 17 games into the season. "

MarshMELO is definitely entertaining when he has it going, which he did for the majority of last year, dude is a supreme shot maker. If we're not going to be in serious contention, midas whale have something interesting to watch, whether it be good or a train wreck, I just know I'm not tuning in to watch another abomination like last year, even with having the TWSN channel now.

I demand titles. That is, and has always been the goal. Clearly, 16 in 65 years is not a 100%, I get that, but that is the goal I personally strive for. Even if it means being dreadful for 2-3 years, if that creates a 5-6 year window to win 2-3-4 titles, I'm willing to do that.
Giving a 30 year old 97 million is old. Wade is 32, guess what, he's old. Melo is 2 seasons away from that. Playing 12 seasons in the NBA makes you old.
Pau was 30 when he died.
It's old. Not in real life, but in NBA life, yes. I do not wish to be paying Melo 24-25 million dollars when he is 34, in his 15th season. That is unwise.
