2014 NBA Draft Thread

I like Stauskas but the Kings are gonna regret not picking Payton. They must either not think McLemore is anything special or they already have a deal in place to move him coming soon.

I don't see Stauskas being a star but I can definitely see McDermott being a star and I think Kings shouldve drafted him

I think the Kings drafted for need as opposing to drafting the best available player

Idk how you would see Payton being better for a terrible shooting team, Nik was the best pick without question. I love Dougie but Kings need shooting at the guard position and I'm not sold on him being better than Stauskas at the NBA level.

I want y'all to to quote me March of next year and see what's really good.

Nobody's questioning that the Kings couldn't use some more shooting....but they just used the 7th pick last year on another shooter that plays that exact same position.

In the non-exhistent offense in Chicago, McDermott will seal his fate as ROY by AllStar weekend.

Philly got embid who cares if he's not playing dude was number one if he didn't fake that injury..yall are sick philly made out

Nik has a lot of Steph Curry in his game, but not nearly as prolific. Same build, deadeye shooters, non existent defensively, shifty off the bounce.

I was waiting for the Stauskas/Curry comparison.

S shoeking2101 You know what's next, about 3-7 comments of

"How dare you compare the two, Currys an
AllStar and 3pt champ with Playoff experience" and blah blah blah...

Prepare yourself

Ben McLemore is TRASH. He's a BUST. Can't dribble the ball for ****. Only thing he was known for at KU was his shooting and he shot POORLY past year.

Meh, comparing a player to someone and actually saying that that's whom they'll be in the league isn't close to being the same thing.

If anyone watched him in college this past year, the Steph Curry comparison is pretty obvious. He plays a lot like steph did, especially when steph was at davidson, just far less prolific.

It's hard to determine whether or not he'll actually live up to that comparison on the next level. Far too many variables such as Playing time, ball usage, how the kings will use him offensively, etc. to flat out say he'll be steph curry on the next level. However, he proved that he has those kind of skills in his arsenal, and he's much bigger. We'll see how he pans out, Sacramento was already my league pass team this past season, and they'll definitely be it this season. I'm a fan of Nik Stauskas. I believe in him a lot.

I ain't wanna say it but you did. :hat

Also, I'm sure if Nik was playing for Davidson he would've put up similar numbers but he played for Michigan in arguable the toughest conference in CBB and still flourished.

**** the boy man, I already put my name out there, I believe in him.

:lol i'm just saying man, dudes in here saying he needs watch Kyle Korver vids to stay in the league, and that he's another JJ Reddick. That was just so damn stupid :lol

He had the highest points scored in pick and roll situations out of all of the draftees, (if he wasn't 1, he was for sure top 5. I forgot) He was at 50% off the catch and almost 40% off the bounce. When you factor in the fact he was very good at not only scoring off the bounce but creating, the steph curry comparison is much closer than any prototypical white catch and shoot player. And he's a legit 6'6 / 6'7. He can be really good in the league if the Kings use him correctly and allow him to flourish with the ball and not stand him in a corner. Much better than any 2 that they have on their roster right now.

So you and Boshy are going for so hard for him because he's from Toronto?

He's from Mississauga.

Mississauga is Toronto

I've lived there

Its like 15 mins down the QEW from downtown

And dont try that 905 vs 416 crap :lol

It's close but not the same city. Not gonna argue with you though, let's just say he's from Canada. :lol

:lol If like 75 pct of your residents commute to Toronto for work. Its Toronto

I want to gush about this class but a lot of you hype them up so much and have been doing that all year that it makes it difficult
