Yes he was a better defender every year, you read it correctly.

No reaching, just truths.

I love Kobe but being a chucker is nothing to glorify.

"Oh boo hoo, Wade takes good shots"

What a tragedy.

It ain't about good shots. It's Wade WON'T shoot even if it's needed, to protect that %. It's been talked about for years, he and Bron. Ask any Heat fan, they will admit it.

So you praising it, seems sort of weakened.

And if you think Wade was better defensively in 03, 04, 05 06 07 08 etc, then whatever. Cuz he got that extra half block. :rolleyes :lol

Na he was just a better man to man defender CP, blocks was just icing.

Wade not shooting when it's needed? Hmm I've watched his whole career and never seen that, he just doesn't shoot bad shots and I know as a Laker fan you're used to seeing that so maybe that's where the confusion comes in.

I'm not taking any SG besides MJ over Prime Wade bottom line.

I'm a certified Kobe hater but I can easily say Kobe never gave a dam about his own PER

This is what I said a couple days ago. Cats need to respect a good chucker! Chucking is a dying art form. Kobe Bryant is probably one of the greatest chuckers the game has ever seen (second only to Bubba Chuck himself)/

Too many of these young guys scared to chuck for PR reasons. Only guy I have hope for is Demar, he seem to have some chuck in him. Rudy Gay out here trying to be efficient for no reason, when he chucking with the best of them.

Back during Kobe's prime and youth dudes were not arguing PER like they do now. STAT heads just needed something new to add to their arguments.

I bet Kobe would look at the all time scoring list after every season though :lol

CP3 is a better defender than Kidd in his prime too? Cause that's definitely not true.

And Wade > Kobe defensively but I'll give Kobe the edge offensively due to being a better 3 shooter and just dominant to the point of WTF.

I'll take Jason Kidd as a passer, rebounder, three point scorer, defender, and floor leader. Now what?

:rollin

Better 3pt shooter huh? Well considering Kidd didn't learn to shoot 3's till he was 34 and still has a lower career 3pt shooting % than Paul that makes a lot of sense.

Better passer and floor leader? Yea maybe you're right on that one.........

Oh wait Paul has a higher assist to turnover ratio and averages more assists per game.

Defender? Chris Paul is the superior man to man defender and he's 4 inches shorter

Kidd was a better rebounder, congrats, you got 1 right.

Kidd's highest PER? 22.

Chris Paul? 30.

Kidd best season - 16/6/10.

Paul- 22/5/11.

You right though, Kidd's better.

dude.

my dude.

In his career Jason Kidd has legitimately guarded players such as Micheal Jorda (prime jordan), Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, and any other pg you can think of. He has made his reputation as a help defender, he will legitimately give the opposing teams best player that D (i.e. The opposing teams best PG, SG, SF), do you realize how ridiculous that is?

Jason Kidd is 3rd alltime in 3 pointers made, ALL TIME.

Wow, this escalated quickly :lol

As far as the CP and J Kidd thing, that's really close man. To say one is definitely better than the other would be just flat out wrong. However, I would have to side with CP3 with that. I think CP3 is a better scorer, playmaker and shooter. J Kidd is probably the better defender due to his size, but that's it. But again, if someone said J Kidd is better they wouldn't be necessarily wrong.

And I hear everyone with Wade. He was awesome in his prime. He probably was the best 2 guard aside from Jordan in his prime. But what does that mean if his peak was short? Guys like AI, KB, Nash, Dirk, Kidd, TD, Garnett, CP3, Melo, and the others I listed were elite for a decade man. To me that counts for a lot because it's one thing to be what wade was for five years, it's another to do it for 12, 15, 16 years. (Minus KD but his peak is higher than D Wade) It's why I couldn't definitively put him as top 10 for the past 15.

Now top 10 from the time he stepped in the league until now? That's arguable but I would put him in there somewhere.

Tough to justify by using stats when they played in different eras

Dudes acting like Kobe ain't had knee surgeries, broken fingers and general soreness. My dude has been holding down that sg spot every since GOAT was in the league.

You cats play too much 2k.

Wade in his prime was definitely not better than Kobe

Wade in his prime was really great, but as of today Wade's knees aren't even better than Ginobili's....... MANU*******GINOBILI
