2014 NFL Draft Thread

i don't know if it find it weirder that 2 of the names are steve young and aaron rodgers, or that the 3rd name is jeremiah masoli :rollin

I wasn't hating Geno, I was telling what's being said. There are plenty that believe Jets go QB. You just mad at me for sayin it. :lol

And there are plenty of people who believe in Scientology, doesn't make it real. Anyone with a twitter nowadays is a draft pundit *cough cough* apparently who knows that a team might draft a QB in September when their rookie QB has started three games.

But yea plenty of people...

Yes, no actual draft folks are real. They are all out to get the Jets, Geno, and their fans. You guessed it.

Scouts say Tampa will look for QB even after drafting Glennon, no prob.
Scouts say Jets will look for QB even after drafting Geno, panties all the way down to the ankles.

Weird how that works.

Tampa 0-6...

Jets 4-3, Geno just outplayed Tom Brady...

These are the same sources you mentioned earlier in the year who talked about the discord between the Jets management and Rex on the QB issue though right...

You and finns = twins.

This was over 5-6 weeks ago, why are you mentioning 3 days ago?

Chad Henne outplayed Brady once too, so.....?

Mark Sanchez outplayed Brady once........

And no, these are NOT, repeat, NOT the same folks talking about Rex-Geno. Those, were NEW YORK JET WRITERS.

Do you speak English? Can I type in a different language so you can keep things straight?

You act like I'm the only person that ever read the Rex/Geno stuff. :lol :lol

im starting to see defensive lineman mocked to us in the first round

wilfork is owed 7 million next year and he's an unrestricted free agent

i doubt we let him go in the offseason if he comes back 100% but

im starting to think its probably gonna be his last year on our squad

yeah it wouldn't surprise me. we all know bill feels particularly strong about having a top notch DL, particularly at DT. not sure how well vince will recover given the injury, his age, and his size. i think DL is definitely in play now in terms of higher end pick.

it's been a total mixed bag imo over the last decade. they've had some huge hits but there's been WAY more misses. i think their approach isn't always the best. they're willing to pass on BPA or BPA at the positions they're looking for to draft guys with specific qualities, even if it means taking guys with injury issues. it's burned them multiple times.

lately i think it's been a little better, but there are still some serious head-scratchers. but at least they're using more of their picks now rather than just continuously swapping them out for future picks. this upcoming draft is going to be big for them. lot of holes to fix, more so than usual imo.

Question pats fans?

How do you feel abou the drafting done by you guys?

I feel Outside of OL / TE / DL it's been meh.
recent years?

shane vereen/steven ridley ...good combination of running backs with different types of skillsets

logan ryan has been good

chandler jones and donte hightower picks where good

jerod mayo has been money

grownkowski/hernandez great picks...besides you know what

nate solder has been great

devin mccourty has been a stud after switching from corner to safety

have to see whats good with jamie collins but i think he can develop into a good player

a few wiffs but all in all pretty happy with the picks

WE got a couple DTs goin pro... not the true NT like Wilfork though... maybe niles, but he will have to keep developing till '15

Matt Miller today had Marcus Mariota to the Vikings.

MM, AP, CP on turf. *nodding*

I could see that.

Also had Sammy to Philly. No idea who gets him the ball, but if Maclin leaves, he's certainly an upgrade over what they currently have.

And for the Houston fans, Zach Mettengerger to you all. With Tajh Boyd to Cleveland.

Deadset, he gave you Brandon Coleman, just like 50,000 other draft guys. :lol :lol :lol That NE-Rutgers thing gotta stop. People just giving them Rutgers folk right now.

If draft played out the way he has it, I would rather have Evans or Mack

But love that we would have a shot at hundley, manziel and Clinton-Dix in the 2nd
