I think he can be a better Sheldon brown.. Not sure he has the speed to compare well with revis.. Maybe more Leon hall, who is still can't believe ran under 4.4 that year

If you're taking a guy top 20, I'm not a fan of having him out there on returns.. In certain situations then yea.. As a rookie sure
But when you're hoping that guy develops into your team's top corner, I'd rather him not be out there
That's why I hope DAT drops to the 3rd-4th round area and the eagles can just use him as weapon.. And desean doesn't even have to think about being out there for punt returns

Well that used to be like an unwritten rule you only draft a corner top 10 if he can help in the return game

Of course he doesn't have to return every kick but if you have a guy that is special at returning kicks use him

As good as Patrick Patterson has been on returns, I'm only putting him back there if I need a home run..
We struggled with returns last season, so desean and boykins had to cover those duties wayyyy more than I would have liked

The Detroit LIons have 2 outta the firsrt 5, Calvin Johnson, Reggie Bush and still didn't make the playoffs.

I have no problem with using a cb in need situations can't expect someone to play three downs and return a kick after. My main point was I felt Gilbert would be the first cb because of his balls skills and the added dimension in the return game. I think his coverage skills are on par if not better than Dennard

Damn, I didnt realize dennard had as many injuries as he did.. Knee surgery in 2010.. Concussion and ankle in 2011.. And shoulder 2012

He got love going into the season, top 10 love.. But not anymore.. Hell I don't if think I see many mocks with him going in the 1st

Verrett put clamps on Ward, Beckham, Goodley.
Fluid hips, good footwork, solid reaction time. Third corner on my board after Gilbert and Dennard. Could take him over Dennard if you really fall in love minus the size.
