.

50 something wins over almost 20 years straight. 5 championships in 3 different decades.

This dude really tried to say they "squeezed out an extra ring". Lol wut? They shoulda had one in 2013 as well. This was all largely done by an aging core that included One real hall of famer...a fringe HOF'er (TP) and a great 6th man (manu)....as well as a crew of castaways who were on their way out the league (Diaw, Green, Mills, Neal) etc etc. LMA is their first big time FO.

Smart drafting, trades, scouting, FA signings, staff signings, rest, sacrifice has enabled the Spurs to be a consistent threat in this league. Can't hate on that.

Spurs just outsmarted the league and stayed consistent. Being this consistent over this long of a period is incredibly hard to do in the NBA. Especially with an aging roster. Yet the Spurs found a way.
repped. well said man.

i dont know why so many lakers fan hate on the spurs. the spurs have been the most dominate franchise in the nba for the longest time. personally i have nothing but respect for the spurs.

What I say has nothing to do with other Laker fans, so stop that **** now. I said it, not them.

They convinced Richard Jefferson to opt out. 8o
Got Dunc, Manu, and TP to take less money.
Then used that to get Diaw, Green and Tiago. Also helped having the horrible Bobcats cut Diaw so they didn't give anything up.
Made a great trade for Kawhi. That part was well done.
Now got West to leave 10 million dollars on the table. :lol

They're circumventing the salary cap, that has extended their success.

But let others tell it, they've ran the league for 2 decades. Naw, that's not the case.

But carry on, bash Laker fans for things I alone say. Sure.

Yeah, under the table contracts for all their players.

Duncan
TP
Manu
Diaw
Green
West
And RJ opting out

All taking less than their market value.

That's it, plain and simple. Without that, they come up short every year.

Stay sleep tho.

Went back and read this Spurs debate. All I have to say is that it's a credit to the organization and to the players for putting the betterment of the team and fanbase above all else and it's been a pleasure to watch over these last 20 years.

11 games left and the rockets are the 9th seed
