What lab in Latvia did they make him in?

Excited for this kid to have a real coach and full offseason.

Man all these scenarios of analyst trading Noel for a player is absolute garbage.

The last article I just read was trading Noel + Laker top 3 protected for Bledsoe...three years of tanking to get an injury prone PG who is not a proven leader nor a proven scorer.

Other than Jah to the centlics, I have not heard/ read a scenario that made sense for Philly.

This kid can become something special. I can't wait for him to leave NYC to join an organization that knows how to win.

I wouldn't trade Nerlens.

I just don't see the point, guys with his level of ability on defense aren't normal and he's coming around on offense slowly.

All of Philly's most successful lineups are with him and Okafor on the bench.

As he showed with Ish, you play him with a real point guard and it works.

He's staying in NYC, no matter if it takes time, he will be a superstar here as long he stays healthy.

Once Melo waves that no trade, they good.

I think Kris gets so good that he and Melo could eventually at least carry the Knicks to some deep east runs before losing to the Cavs.

I agree 100%. All these trade rumours of Noel for a fringe star PG is ridiculous. Until Embiid proves himself, Noel is the best thing to happen for the Sixers and should be untouchable.

After watching Cleveland, LAC, NYK and comparing them to GSW, Spurs, Dallas, Boston, it really goes to show that management and ownership should not be overlooked. The way I see it right now, Dolan's involvement will never bring prosperity to the Knicks. If Kristaps wants to win, he should not stay in New York.

You're still speaking on the past. Dolan hasn't been involved the last 2 years. Phil Jackson is running this ship. I know it's hard for people to speak on the Knicks without a clouded sense of judgement based on PAST mistakes, but things have been changing for a while now. Of course no one will acknowledge this because of 2 losing seasons.

It's a PG league and we had the worst guards in the NBA. So we lost terribly. We also had the best Front Court in the NBA (best scoring and number 1 in defensive field goal % at the rim).

Knicks are the best situation for KP for a lot of reasons, but it's no point in saying so. The rhetoric on the Knicks is already set in stone...

So you had the best front court in the NBA and supposedly one of the best overall players at SF and you still missed the playoffs... in the garbage East

It may be a PG driven league but damn

Kristaps has to stay in NYC. If he develops properly, he will essentially be the biggest star in NYC if the team starts winning too. Who wouldn't want to stay in NYC when the team is winning

I want to comment on this discussion but i don't feel like typing out a long reply only for people to respond with 'Melo sucks' or 'Knicks will never be good.

I try to base my opinions on facts and not overreactions or emotions. So when we speak on the Knicks, I am quite cognizant of the fact that they have been last place in the NBA in fast break points in each of the last 4 seasons. I'm also aware that last year, the Knicks forced less turnovers than any NBA team in the history of the 82 game season. If it wasn't for the work of the front court, Knicks might not have even had 20 wins. The defense is broken down as soon as the opposing guard crosses half court. No way you can win anything So yes, in a guard driven league, we did miss the playoffs.

And considering in 13-14, Hornacek took the Suns from 29th in offensive efficiency to 8th and 14th in fast break points to number 1, I would have to say it's a safe bet that the Knicks will improve in that area without playing Calderon and Afflalo as your lead guards [emoji]128514[/emoji]. Wroten can play D and so can Grant. They both can run and both can pass. Call me crazy, but it's really not crazy at all. People just want to dismiss the facts when it comes to the Knicks but it's all good.

Melo sucks and he's not a superstar. Knicks are trash and they will never have a decent team. I'm sure there will be more comments but I think I covered most of it [emoji]128077[/emoji][emoji]127998[/emoji]

Any notions of what the Knicks will try to do to improve their guard play?

What was the trade that left you without a first rounder? The Melo trade still?

Just speaking on Tony wroten..He put up good stats on a horrible team when he played for the Sixers..But Dude is JR smith..T.O machine..Takes horrible shots..over dribbles..Plus he's coming off an ACL injury..that already kept him out a whole NBA season..The Knicks need a Conley or Teague at guard imo.

- Everything Hornacek, Mills, & Phil have said points towards adding guards this summer. Whether it's signing Conely or trading for Teague/Collison we'll definitely have a new backcourt next season.

- Andrea Bargnani :|. This is the last year we'll be paying for the mistakes pre-Phil.

They should at least try to play Jerian Grant, he's good in the PnR, good defender.

Anything is better than Calderon.

He played pretty well the last month of the season. Sucks that was the only time he consistently got 25+ minutes.

Hornacek's system fits him much better than the triangle.

Good question man. I wish I could tell you, but I really have no clue who we'll get. What I do believe is, Wroten/Grant can hold down the PG spot. The issue will be at SG. There is a huge, glaring hole there and the Knicks have to get a 3 and D guy in that spot. Wroten and Grant can definitely defend at the PG (6-6 and 6-4 and both very athletic. Good instincts)...it is paramount that they have a SG that can do the same. The front court was always out of position because they had to cover every single play since Calderon was getting blown by. Afflalo too, and he was supposed to be a "good defender" smh. Absolutely deplorable on D.

As far as that awful trade, that was the Bargnani trade and that happened before the Phil era. Still recovering from all of Dolan's past transgressions [emoji]128514[/emoji]. Phil got smacked in the face last season. His ego took a blow once he realized this 3pt Warrior ball is here to stay and his midrange, triangle is not gonna work in today's game. So kudos to him for recognizing that they have to push the pace, use their offensive skill and versatility with Melo and KP, and stretch the parameters of the triangle to the 3pt line for spacing and run. Hornacek is the perfect guy to create a "hybid" offense if you will and it is going to work wonders for them. He has his PG's penetrate all game and kick, and that's exactly how Wroten and Grant prefer to play.

I just can't guarantee playoffs or anything like that until I see how they upgrade the backcourt and add shooters. But the front court is nasty

Good stuff

Well unfortunately I see no real reason for Conley to come to the Knicks. Other than that hopefully they can swing a deal because I think both Grant and Wroten are solid backups, not ideal starters yet. Especially if you're trying to make a playoff run
