I get the cap is going up but does that mean everyone has to get 10+ mil a year? It's one thing to overpay for a young restricted FA. 12 mil for an old, malcontent Rondo is crazy. Can't wait for owners to cry about these contracts in a year or two.

It's all about % at the end of the day, guys are overpaid right now too it's always gonna happen but Rondo for that price isn't the worst thing.

13.5% isn't huge but it's not good. Teams are gonna make the mistake of thinking they HAVE to spend big and in a couple years, realize it's not so easy trading multiple below average players who make 14 mil a year. You can field a competitive team without reaching the salary floor with basically no consequence.

Im sure some team is gonna give Jared Dudley 15 mil a year and demolish the market though

The Kings president of business ops was on the radio here like just an hour ago and he was asked basically verbatim what you said, in terms of Adidas' deal ending after this upcoming season and Nike taking over in the following season

and basically he said they were given permission from Adidas/NBA to collaborate with Nike designers to get design input so the jersey wouldn't be completely different than whatever new rebrands had for other teams once they took over.

I believe the Hornets had their jerseys designed by Jordan, so this isn't something new.
