:lol @ moving 15 millionaires to a 2-star hotel & giving them rommates

Then Avery puts Dirk with a guy that doesn't sleep :rollin

O'Neal: [Riley] said: "OK, we're going back to f*** Dallas, and I'm checking everybody's luggage. We [are] only going to play one game. Whoever has more than one f**** outfit, you ain't f***** coming on the road." So when we got there, he actually checked our bags. Pat Riley. He was at the gate checking everybody's bag. ... And there was one guy, not a player, but another guy that had more than one outfit, and f***** Pat made him go and catch a commercial flight. He really did. It was like a video guy. Pat was serious. Like, "I told you this was gonna happen, motherf*****'" And he was just like a different, mean. ... Not mean, but he was like a different energetic Pat. "We gonna pack one f****** bag. They're done."
:rollin I miss Coach Riles. Legend

Also Adrian Griffin talking about how he wasn't the same after he hurt his back 8o

Series is a classic example of how 1 game, 1 loss can absolutely impact the following game.

Looking at the current finals, I have no idea why the Warriors laid down in game 3 like that. If they lose on Sunday they'll have to ask themselves that question all summer.

I was telling my boy the same damn thing after Game 6. If they lose the series, that's the one they should point to be mad at themselves over. They let their foot off the gas.

TBH it felt like they decided at some point in that game they were perfectly content with closing the series out at home. Can't ever take **** for granted man.

CRYING @ that Riles story though.

Yea when you get this deep in the playoffs & start thinking you can beat your opponent at will, you ****** up.

Don't think they should give up on him.

No one in the top 10 (besides Simmons & Ingram) is worth trading DLo for.

Chad Ford's logic is that because the Lakers worked out more than just Ingram (and Simmons who isn't doing workouts)... It's called due diligence.
Clearly they want another Top 5 pick. So clearly they are trading Russell for a lesser talented draft prospect. And by lesser it's far lesser.

:rollin

Ford knows nothing

Ford said "More likely" He's randomly stating his opinion.

Also What bridges did he burn... All the young guys are fine with Russell. He and Clarkson just went on a trip to China and were together joking around on social media. The bridge he burned was with Nick Young :rollin Ford is talking, just to talk

Conley, jimmy, KD is a better core than what the thunder have now.
Except our coach sucks

Nick Young doesn't matter at all and shouldn't even still be in the league.

I'm really curious of the Warriors locker room dynamic next season.

In all likelihood, Barnes is coming back and will likely be the highest paid Warrior.

I think everyone would understand the payday is a result of timing and market, but yeeeeeeah.

I think there is some sort of clause in the CBA that allows them to bump up curry's salary, I wonder if they do it

Heard it on a podcast (think it was Bill Simmons)

I would sign and trade Barnes, if you can't trust a someone you pay that contract as a starter in the finals what's the point of having him?

I would let Festus go too, he looked horrible.

They'd have to renounce Barnes and Bogut and give all the extra money to Curry. I can't think of a more ridiculous idea. They have him on a bargain contract. No team is killing their flexibility to reward a player before they absolutely have to.

Steph would be stupid to sign an extension now. Just wait 12 months and cash in on $200M.

Nah they're not going to waste their cap space to pay Curry a year early. They will wait until after the season then pay him. If they were to do that, it'd be a colossal mistake.

If I'm the Warriors...

Steph
Klay
Dray

are safe.

Iggy
Bogut

are safe, they offer a lot of intangibles you need, last year of their deal, them expiring allows the Warriors to reset after next year (potentially, if they want to).

Bring back Livingston for his $5.8mil which is currently non-guaranteed, won't find a better backup for less than that. Also last year of his deal.

I'd wait on Barnes. Obviously offer him his RFA. And see what comes of it. See if there is any S&T out there, but unless it favors the Warriors, you sign him for whatever it takes, and deal with him after the season. Tell him what you're offering straight out, and say, Look, we need to line up some eggs first, then pay you.

Looney...Bring him back.

#30 Pick.

You let Ezeli go. Has knee problems, doesn't gel with the offense, not worth the $15mil he'll get needlessly.
Clark & McAdoo... Pretty inconsequential players that you can let go.

Steph/Livingston
Klay
Barnes/Iggy
Dray / ??? / Looney
Bogut
--??? 30th Pick???---

$14.6mil in cap space. $13.6mil when you factor in 2 roster cap holds.

Then if you're the Warriors you chase 2 names. Joakim Noah.. Limits his minutes and potential injury risk, fits in well with Warriors offensive system due to being a supremely well passing big.

Or Bring back Kent Bazemore, who will bolster the team with more 3&D.

Then you come back around with the 30th pick, and the $5.3mil David Lee trade exception, and try to pick up another bench player who can give you some minutes at either the 2/3 or 4/5 depending on the FA you signed.

And round out the roster with a veteran for the $2.898mil Room Exception

It's termed a "renegotiate and extend":

Consider a purely hypothetical scenario in which the Golden State Warriors had cap space in the summer of 2016 and worried about losing Curry the following year as a free agent. The 27 year-old Curry is scheduled to make a mere $12.1 million in the last year of the biggest bargain contract in the league. With sufficient room, Golden State could renegotiate Curry up to his projected 2016-17 maximum of $25.1 million, and then offer him a three-year, $87.2 million extension on top of it. That is a total of $100.2 million in new, guaranteed, money, with the benefit of locking it in a year earlier to mitigate against the risk of injury.

If Curry were a free agent in 2017, the most he could receive from another team would be a four-year, $130.3 million deal that would pay him $95.7 million over the first three years, $4.5 million less than he would make in new money from a renegotiation and extension. What’s more, the Warriors could offer him a player option on the third year of the extension, allowing him to become a free agent again at the age of 31 (with eligibility for a higher tier of maximum salary as a player with 10 plus years’ experience) should he so choose.

Noah's a bit redundant with Bogut already in the fold (provided he's healthy). And to be real, Noah could just be Varejao clone out there.

But you only get 1/3rd to 1/2 a season out of each of them anyways so it works out.

The idea is to do everything you can to keep them healthy.. Their redundancy becomes irrelevant because of that. And keeps the offense flowing
