1 year in g state for a title would be cool. then he can bounce to the east.

the way curry played dont think kd gotta worry about being number 2

more like 1a 1b
This would probably be the case, but on the surface you know what people are going to say.

I understand GS just lost in a game 7.... but a team who's three best players are just hitting their primeis far from being "over"... Also if GS gets KD i don't see how it's possible to put together a defensive team that stops them. You take one of the most dominant offenses in history and add one of the best scorers in NBA history to it something tells me that they become unguardable.

I just don't know if
1) KD is willing to leave damn near 40 M's on the table
2) If he is gonna be willing to deal with the scrutiny of him going to GS
3) if he isn't looking at a team in the East and realizing that all he has to do is get thru the Cavs.

option #3 is very appealing to me though. KD & Melo have a really close relationship, you have KP to groom and grow, and it's one of the few places where he can join another superstar and not be bashed for it.

Dudes talkin bout money forget how LeBron, Wade, and Bosh took cuts to win. Not saying that was coo to join up for the super team but they all acknowledged that money wasn't everything and that getting a ring took sacrifices. Then you have a guy like Carmelo Anthony who stayed w/ the Knicks cause they threw a lot of money at him :lol Dude may not ever win a ring as long as money is his motivation.

U can't take a lot of money and then expect the team to have any to get decent players

Me and my boys were talkin last night before hoopin and think OKC should go after Conley and shift Rus to the 2, especially if KD stays. That gives them a better facilitator which they need. They have that and they will be in the Finals next season.

Y'all tripping.

The 'book' being out on Golden State isn't really true. Offensively, they just weren't the same team in the post season. Curry went from an elite finisher to an average one. They basically got nothing inside for a team that was one of the best points in the paint teams in the league. If your game plan is to switch your only rim protector onto Curry, I don't think it's gonna work when he's playing well.

Retain KD. Shoot for Bazemore and if he stays, go after a Solomon Hill.

Give them another year under Billy D and you're back in the WCF

If I'm KD stay with thunder. You were five minutes away from the finals. You can best GSW. And just because you go there doesn't guarantee you a finals trip.

As much as I want to see KD go elsewhere I don't think it makes sense basketball wise to leave until after the '17 season because of Russ's fa, what would be interesting is if Russ wants to stay another year so he can get his 10 year max.

Little bit of history there too, he used to play on our summer league team. Thing Is, what about Dion Waiters? He is an rfa, probably going to expect between 10-13 mil a yr for the next 4, like 4/52m. We're into the tax so if you let him walk, it's not like you have money to do something else anyways. And Anthony Morrow, he's a steal at his price for his elite specialty (obviously a shooter), but Billy doesn't play him at all, I understand he can't defend. Jeremy Lamb, I'm not sure what Charlotte did with his QO. Eric Gordon is out there, could be a reclamation project who gives us a 2 way SG we've never really had. Jeremy Lin and Norris Cole and Mario Chalmers going to be out there, but either would represent a giving up on Cameron Payne which Presti never gives up o his draft picks this early even when his coaches do. I want to see if Payne is a legit shooter. He started the season shooting unsustainably high %s, over 40 from 3, then fell way back to earth once Billy D started dicking with his minutes.

James Johnson though would be my underrated piece for any playoff team, especially one over the cap who can't offer even a full mle. And of course, Perry Jones 3 I still think can hoop, I just don't know what makes him tick and how to keep that fire hot.

I'm pretty sure him going to GSW would guarantee a trip to the finals if everyone is healthy.  The only team in the West that gave them a challenge was OKC and that wouldn't happen with KD gone.

Listening to Zach's podcast about the Warriors and zach kind of said the underlying potential issue for the dubs moving forward is that the book may be out to defend them. Switching as much as you can, press up and try and take away as many 3's as possible, Let a wing guy (Dion Waiters, Lebron, ) guard Draymond, Target Steph defensively for entire playoff series, and figure the rest out later. He then said not everybody has a KD, Kawai, or Lebron but they can "fake it," and get them 75% of the way there and see what happens.

To which I kind of agree with, especially the Draymond bit. I still contend though, that when it comes to the warriors, as long as Steph and Klay continue to make absurd 3's on high volume and efficiency, they cannot be beaten 4 out of 7 against anyone. I think they win this series in 5 if Dray plays, and I will say that I still think they're better than the cavs.

But, switching everything kind of makes the quality of 3's pretty difficult on the dubs and you saw it against OKC, you saw it against the cavs, they were missing more often than they've missed in the past two years. The 3's they take are always hard, but they...make em. But as the league continues to downsize and trade, and sign, and draft 6'9 rangy guys, these tough 3's they're taking may start to catch up w/them. Simply put, game 6 okc may have been the peak of the warriors 3 pt prowess, and there's a chance that next season they aren't as good from the three pt line?
The book was out on them last year, the competition was just softer. Look at the teams they had to beat last year man :lol

It's no coincidence that they weren't as lucky with the injury bug this year & failed to repeat.

Gonna be even harder next year too. Donovan will almost certainly have Durant running significantly more PnR involving Bogut/Ezeli or when they go small, Steph Curry/Livingston. And Cleveland will do the same with Bron.

Don't forget NY has this year's draft pick as well to lure him in........

Man if they can get their hands on Gordon that would be great for OKC...that would be the missing peice if he stays healthy.

I don't trust Gordon to stay healthy for 20+ playoff games. Wouldn't want him on my team at all.
