KD I believe it's all about winning a chip now by any means necessary. Which leaves him 3 options:

1. Re-up for one year with OKC to give it one more run before that core breaks up.
2. Join Golden State, possibly San Antonio
3. Team up with Lebron

Young god has spoken :hat :hat :hat

It's unfortunate he now has to be the 2nd unanimous MVP winner and not first ever :{ :{

Absolutely love this guy, he's going to be such a special player, next year is going to be phenomenal.

Lol at him having a Twitch. Appreciate him holding it down for the nerds.

He's obsessed with Call Of Duty, a lot of young players are really into video games.

It's good if they are playing games like that on the road, there's been studies that show how much those games can help your brain accelerate decision making, find patterns and activate muscle memory.

All those things translate to the court really well.

Sources: Celtics rebuffed in bid to swap No. 3 pick for established vet

The Boston Celtics have been pursuing a number of established veterans in the buildup to Thursday's NBA draft, offering trade packages built around the No. 3 overall pick, according to league sources.

But sources told ESPN that the Celtics, to date, have been rebuffed in their efforts to assemble a sufficiently enticing deal to acquire any of these four prime targets: Chicago Bulls All-Star swingman Jimmy Butler, Utah Jazz guard Gordon Hayward and Milwaukee Bucks teammates Jabari Parker or Khris Middleton.

Who the Celtics like at No. 3, if they end up keeping the pick, has likewise emerged as one of the bigger mysteries of draft week, sources say.

The Bulls, sources say, continue to show little interest in dealing Butler to the Celtics, who previously tried to trade for him before the league's annual deadline in February.

Sources say the Celtics are one of just a number of teams trying to convince Utah to surrender Hayward -- Phoenix, which holds two lottery picks (No. 4 and 13) in Thursday's draft, is another -- but the Jazz have been telling interested teams that he is not available.

The same, sources say, goes for Parker and Middleton in Milwaukee, since the Bucks regard both of those young cornerstones, as well as Giannis Antetokounmpo, as untouchables.

The Philadelphia 76ers, sources say, have been trying for some time to convince the Celtics to part with the No. 3 pick in a deal headlined by Sixers big man Jahlil Okafor or teammate Nerlens Noel, but Boston, to date, has resisted those pitches.‎

Dwight's back is done for.

"He works as hard as anybody I've ever seen, his body is just not cooperating anymore, it won't go low, he can't get low anymore"

    -Kevin McHale

Good Luck to whoever lands him

Exactly, he's gotten so stiff and he didn't have much wiggle to begin with.

Somebody will pay him though.

Listening to Zach's podcast about the Warriors and zach kind of said the underlying potential issue for the dubs moving forward is that the book may be out to defend them. Switching as much as you can, press up and try and take away as many 3's as possible, Let a wing guy (Dion Waiters, Lebron, ) guard Draymond, Target Steph defensively for entire playoff series, and figure the rest out later. He then said not everybody has a KD, Kawai, or Lebron but they can "fake it," and get them 75% of the way there and see what happens.

To which I kind of agree with, especially the Draymond bit. I still contend though, that when it comes to the warriors, as long as Steph and Klay continue to make absurd 3's on high volume and efficiency, they cannot be beaten 4 out of 7 against anyone. I think they win this series in 5 if Dray plays, and I will say that I still think they're better than the cavs.

But, switching everything kind of makes the quality of 3's pretty difficult on the dubs and you saw it against OKC, you saw it against the cavs, they were missing more often than they've missed in the past two years. The 3's they take are always hard, but they...make em. But as the league continues to downsize and trade, and sign, and draft 6'9 rangy guys, these tough 3's they're taking may start to catch up w/them. Simply put, game 6 okc may have been the peak of the warriors 3 pt prowess, and there's a chance that next season they aren't as good from the three pt line?

They were better than the CAVS.

Better than OKC though, nope.

I wish we could have got a Clips vs GSW series because I think things would be way different.

GSW getting passed Clippers or OKC or both, next year,  it's not happening..This was the end of their run, it was great while it lasted.

In my personal opinion, I do think things will be much harder for GSW than they've been over the past 2 years for them. They got some really great breaks in the postseason before hitting OKC and almost got bounced in 5 games, and games 3 & 4 weren't even close.

I wouldn't have picked the Clips to beat GSW this past playoff run, (homecourt being the big difference)  but I could for sure see how it would have happened. The Clippers were better defensively this year than OKC and the Cavs. In theory, one would think that if Steven adams, Ibaka, Kanter, TT, Lebron, if these frontcourt players were giving the warriors trouble, then I'd imagine DJ and Blake could too. Then you factor in the Clips being able to switch almost everything due to roster make up, steph not being 100%, It could have been interesting for sure. If steph wasn't trying to go by kevin love or TT, I would feel extremely confident in Blake or DJ switching out.

It all comes down to whether or not they can make enough 3's to offset their lack of rebounding and paint scoring. I don't think they win the boards battle against OKC or LAC, really it just comes down to 3's and I think LAC was good enough defensively last year to perhaps make those quality of 3's difficult.

That's about what it came down to in the OKC series.

I've never seen a team shoot like that for 3 games in a row.

They made more 3's than they missed 3's and 2's combined it seemed. But even then, OKC had to crumble in the last 5 minutes for them to gain the series.

If they out 3 a team to win a series next year, it won't be the THunder.

It's like when you finally fight the bully and he gives you his best shot, you take it, but give him a few back as well, live with the loss, and beat the **** out of him if he ever tries you again.

Even if Durant wanted to, I wonder if Nike would put the foot down. Coming into UA's #1 guy's team and being a #2. Nah.

The Jazz should let the season play out, but they are in a precarious position moving forward with all the money that they will have to commit soon.

Hayward can be a free agent after next season, Gobert is eligible for an extension in July, Favors is eligible for an extension in October/be a free agent in two years, Hood and Exum are eligible for extensions next summer. That's a lot of money.

Edit:

So basically I'm saying the #3 pick and more picks is worth contemplating really hard about. I'm not sure if I would deal Hayward or Favors though. And it would mean taking a step back to increase flexibility in two or three years.
