What's he saying?

All I got was, "Gimme the ball...."

I still really liked Jarnel Stokes, tough to give him up for Mario Chalmers...especially to add him to a ship that "be sinking".

The Heat are apparently trying to put together a roster of all left-handed players (except Wade maybe).

Justise Winslow has had an immediate impact for the Miami Heat on defense.

Winslow has defended LeBron James, James Harden, Paul George and DeMar DeRozan.

Among players to defend at least 50 field goal attempts this season, Winslow ranks tied for third in the NBA in defensive field goal percentage (32.8%) with San Antonio's Kawhi Leonard (32.8%) and Minnesota's Ricky Rubio (32.8).

In defensive field goal differential, Winslow ranks 12th in the NBA.

“He’s confusing me," said Chris Bosh. "You always want to kind of be easy on the rookies, but he is raising the bar every game with his maturity and ability and knack to play defense. I’ve never seen anything like it as long as I’ve been in this league from a rookie. He’s not making many mistakes. He’s playing solid defense. He’s already built like a tank. Him just being able to move his feet is helping us out a lot.”

I'd be sad going from Miami to Memphis for a plethora of reasons.

Only thing that would be improving is the level of BBQ I'm eating.

Several years too late for Memphis to add a backup guard. That window has closed and probably needs to be replaced at this point. Imagine how mad Rio is going to be seeing Tony Allen as a starting "shooting guard" while he comes off the bench to back him up.

The drug distribtors in Memphis are rejoicing, Rio and Z-Bo on the same team. As good ol J.R. would say business is about to pick up.

There was a rumor during the warriors broadcast last night vs the pistons about a Batum for Harrison Barnes trade.

Also a rumor on numerous hornets Twitter abd blog sites about a trade between the Bulls and Hornets. Lin for Hinrich and two Chicago 1st rounders.

if Memphis really wanted a backup PG they could've had Calderon & kep Stokes/Beno

I like Batum, but I don't know why the Warriors would bother tinkering with their roster. It's working. Barnes has been playing well too. If it ain't broke...

This is all that matters. They already lost a lot when Darrell Arthur was traded away for Koufos. Gettitng Chalmers in Memphis increases sales.

Conley + Chalmers = Zeke + Dumars

batum for barnes sounds like bull to me...

love and respect the bean but if that mf plays in this year's Olympics :{

I'm lowkey already getting hyped for the 2016 Olympics. The Olympic related threads on NT for 2012 were awesome. Hoping for the same thing with the Brazil games.

And I think that's Kobe's main motivation for wanting to play - he doesn't want to miss out on an Olympic Village in Rio. Come on, Kobs. Step aside and let the young bucks have their fun.

Let me ask ya'll...how would Wall's development be today (if they made the trade back in 2012) if the Harden deal went through? Beal isn't nearly as ball-dominant, and from that aspect, it's the one reservation that I had about making the deal.

Hard to say. Maybe Wall becomes a better outside shooter knowing he would play a little more off the ball. But, if Westbrook and Harden worked in stretches, I'm sure Wall and Harden could've worked out. I do believe the Wizards would have been less reliant on Wall being great in order to give themselves a shot at winning every night. It would just make them more dangerous and versatile.

Yea, it would definitely take some pressure off of Wall....but hopefully that will be the case as the season goes on and if Beal can continue his development.

And off subject...I really hope the Wizards have a great plan B. They shouldn't put all their eggs in a basket for KD and then end up with talents like Ben Gordon/Charlie V. with their cap space like detroit did a few years back.

I LOVE the core of Wall/Beal/Porter...however, they need either KD or a legit big (stretch 4..or...Boogie - don't know how it happens tho) if they want to make a real push to get out of the East within the next 3 seasons or so.
