I'm kind of feeling like that was a shot at Kobe anddddd it doesn't quite work considering

Kobe in his last full season (17th Overall) 2012-2013
27, 6, & 5.6 on 46% shooting/ 32% from 3

Lebron 2012-2013
26.8, 7.3, & 8 on 56% shooting/ 40% from 3

if playing hero ball leads to you putting up similar #'s to the best player in the world in his prime, while your in your 17th year & winning 5 rings... i would say that's quite beneficial

Because stats tell the whole story.

But Kobe was awesome year however.

So who do yall got as the next big time superstar? (Outside of the ones that we already have)

I.e. Wiggins, Parker, Antetokoumpo

1. Ben Simmons
2. Jabari Parker
3. Andrew Wiggins

SF/PF position will be deep. Just wait on it :hat

:lol Lebrons 2013 and Kobe's 2013 aren't close and I love Kobe Bryant.

Shooting 10 percentage points higher is pretty damn significant not to mention how much better Lebron was defensively.

They also didn't have 3 major injuries and weren't playing at MVP levels before them either.

Kobe was carrying his team to the playoffs putting up career like #'s in his 17th year prior to his injury, those other guys mentioned damn sure werent

25 7 and 7 on 50% shooting on one of the hottest teams in the league right now.

****** want bron to be washed sooooo bad

what the next position to flourish? Right now we're in the era of the point guard. Greatest pool it's ever been. But it won't last forever. Does the 2 guard come back to life? Does the SF grow? Centers byke?

its the annual hype up lebron and his team in the regular season only to complain about how he has no help after losing in the finals again

The point of posting that was to point out that his "demise" was better than 90% of the league in his 17th season... all while leading a team that had one of the most injury riddled seasons i could remember to the playoffs in the west. if that a demise.....................

Notice it's all "Kobe fans". Go figure.

I think Bron is a clown, (I'm even in the Bron haters thread) but some of the **** Kobe stans say are delusional.

Like clockwork. Panthro sure to have another epic gif come playoff time.

nobody is claiming that he's washed now, the argument has simply been that he will not be nearly as effective as he is now 2-3 years down the line, what is hard to understand about this.

and FTR this was brought up because when talking Lebron falling off, of course a Lebron stan talks about playing "hero" ball taking years off your career... stats say otherwise, but you know guys just talk to talk.

dleague teams dont get nba draft picks

I've said this in this thread before, and I'll say it again: A big part of a rookies developmental success is contingent on which teams he goes to. Almost everything needs to be perfect for a player to excel i.e coaching, city, teammates, culture etc

There's too much pressure for him to succeed in LA and let's not forget he has a 40 year old jacking up shots and a 2nd year guy (Randle) always holding the damn ball. Clarkson even holds the ball more than Russell.

Sheesh... We only have a small sample size to base our opinions on but I don't even think he is the best player at his position, let alone a future superstar. Mudiay is soooooooo much better than him.

To be fair, Russell still has to develop and earn his minutes...Mudiay has been given free reigns while Byron being old school with this tough love, earn your minutes, show me something, attitude

Doesn't his eyebrows scream out attitude?

Other than decent court vision, nothing about Russell screams out potential. We were saying that with Evan Turner for about three years, as soon as we give up on him, he drops a +30pt +10ast game and the hype comes back.

Russell is not athletic, I don't think I've ever seen him attempt a layup.

He might get it together one day, he makes the right plays, does the right passes, but his ceiling is now considerably lower. I see him being no more than a solid PG in the league. A one time Allstar at best.

Kobe at 34, was still in his prime. Once again, that's the beauty of straight outta high school stars.

Unfortunately for Kobe, he got hurt in the last week of the season, and never fully recovered. Hard to recover from serious injuries, and be 35+.

I used to be like that.

At a certain point just enjoy the guy.
It's really a head scratched. ****** pick and choose what stats to post to get their point across.

2 AND 4 IN THE FINALS! WASHED!

I mean, it is what it is. Lebron isn't even a favorite of mine, but the washed comments in regards to him are hilarious. He's showing signs of getting older for sure, but 25/7/7 on 50% on a top 3 team in the league right now is not washed. Not close. For godsake he could win the MVP this year

LeBron ain't winning **** unless he finds a jumpshot all that bulldozing to the rim waiting for a whistle will not work against the Western Conference Champs

Breh "Kobe fans," "Bron haters," whoever. Just gasping at straws man.

He's ice cold from 3 right now so that obviously means he's washed. Nevermind everything else that he's doing to lead his team to like a 7-1 record
