In no particular order, my top ten would be :

MJ, Kareem, Magic, Bird, Wilt, Kobe, Lebron, Duncan, Shaq, Big O

The Malones, Olajuwons, are just on the outside looking in and many greats have not even been mentioned. Stephs got a long way to go before I'd consider replacing any of the names above with him. ( to answer your question- too many accolades to realistically name Atm)

Ah, ******* Chester beat me to it :lol I couldn't find it in time. And he's definitely not the only one to say how good JS was.

Gary Payton on John Stockton

I love them dudes who don't say anything but are still HOF status

Few and far between. But the fact that Stockton rarely talked trash or showed emotion was pretty awesome looking back

Exactly. And the fact that a player I love (Glove) respects the guy that much... means way more to me than random YMCA All-Team 3rd Defense message board posters. :hat

Who said Stockton was bad? He just isn't guarding Russ. What PGs in that era were similar athletic and attitude wise Stockton strapped to Russ?

I meant bad defensively. The only thing that's going to cause a huge gap is the change in rules and how easily PnR's are called fouls nowadays. Stockton could hold his own defensively.

And you're talking about a turnover prone PG against one of the best at stealing the ball ever as well.

Isiah Thomas, by the time he was 28......The same age that Steph Curry is now...accomplished more than Steph has, or maybe ever will.

At 28. Isiah Thomas was a:

2X NBA Champion
Finals MVP
9X All Star
7X All NBA
Averaged 20ppg & 10apg from 1981-1990.

He's not even considered a top 10 player of all time. Just to put things into proper perspective. Steph got it right now, but it's going to take a lot more than 1 more championship this year to sniff top 40 players of all time :lol

That's the thing about 90s era fans. They will never give any current players respect. Yeah sure bros. Stockton would hold Russ to next to nothing and it's a complete mismatch. Russ wouldn't even be able to score. He'd get the ball stole everytime up court.

The older we get the longer the walk to school mentality. Ha ha ha

Who ******* said that dude? You're the one who started the whole thing by saying Westbrook would destroy him. You started off just straight up disrespecting Stockton and you got the balls to say 90s era fans don't give current players respect? You're outta your mind. No one said anything close to the words you're putting in my mouth. You made a dumb *** statement, I gave you **** to contradict it. No one's saying Stockton would shut him down completely. Jesus Christ.

Thought it was interesting watching the kings last nite and the commentator mentioned that rondo hardly ever complains about calls. Made me respect him more

I've only been on this first page, but I've already seen some foolish ****. CP3 is the second best PG of all time
