We aren't talking about top 10 PG's of all time.

Somebody asked about top 10 PLAYERS OF ALL TIME. Totally different. I just brought up Isiah because by the time he was the same age as Steph Curry, he'd accomplished way more than Steph at the same age. Literally, more than twice the accomplishments in the same time played...and he's not, or wasn't considered a "Top 10 Player of all time".

That's rarefied air right there. The question was how much more Steph has to do it I get there...and the answer is, with his limited accomplishments at 28....he has to do A lot more.

I can rock with that. But that still doesn't diminish what Steph has done so far
It's a different environment now, more guard centric play in this current era and Curry is the top dawg currently

Bryant, 37, played a season-high 36 minutes and finished a hair shy of a triple-double with 17 points, nine assists and eight rebounds. He played the entire fourth quarter because it was a close game, but looking ahead, that may not be the best strategy.

"I'm not looking forward to walking to the car right now," Bryant said. "Seriously."

Because of Bryant's excessive playing time in Sunday night's game, the forward will be sitting out Monday's game against the Suns.

He's not even considered a top 10 player of all time. Just to put things into proper perspective. Steph got it right now, but it's going to take a lot more than 1 more championship this year to sniff top 40 players of all time

Why would you phrase it like this? Steph is 27 right now, not 28.. and Thomas came into the league at 20 while Steph came into it at 21.

Could it be because Isiah didn't win his 2 championships until he was 28? Of course, Thomas has more all-stars and all-nba through the same time, but Steph will likely be all-nba for the next several years barring injury.

I'm not even in the argument, just pointing out that your criteria is flawed.

Absolutely. Can't knock Steph. He got it right now. One of my favorite players to watch.

But there have been others in history that have done what he's done at the same age for a number of years straight. Realistically, Steph has been playing on a truly elite level for 1 year and 10 games.

We're going to need a lot more of this if we want to start having convos about "Top 10 player for all time". He's made enough 3's at an outstanding clip to be rightfully considered the best shooter of all time, but hasn't done nearly enough as a complete player to warrant discussions about being a top 10 player of all time.

Cmon man, we are talking about 1-2 years here. Steph and Isiah are relatively at the same point in their careers. Steph will turn 28 in March. If I waited 3 more months to post this, would my argument be more valid them? :lol

At the same stage in their careers, Isiah Thomas had accomplished more. I'm simply replying to the poster who asked what Steph needs to do to become a top 10 player of all time, by comparing him to a PG at a similar stage who accomplished more, but not in that convo.
