Watching Vernon Adams highlights, two things stand out:

1. no way in hell he's 6'0" tall.

2. His throwing motion is weird and I only see him throwing to wide open dudes. Which is fine because thats what the Oregon offense is, but can he read a defense? I'm genuinely asking because I haven't seen a play where he's had to.

I thought Jeff Lockie would win the job because he's not a slouch either and his familiarity with the offense, his teammates, and his leadership would manifest themselves.

I'm not mad or anything that VA is the starter by any stretch, but to come in and be in camp for two weeks and win the job, it just has me every so slightly worried about his grasp of things. He's a talented dude for sure, but I just find it hard to believe that a guy that just got there has a better grasp of things than the guy who is starting his fourth year with the program. That's why I'm a little skeptical, but we'll see!

Nonetheless, I'm very excited about the season.

One. Week. Brehs. (but less until Thursday :P )

Ya, I definitely feel for Lockie but that's just the way the cookie crumbles sometimes. Vernon should be added to the Heisman Poll, I think he'll be invited to NYC for the presentation, he'll have the numbers as a byproduct of the system if they have a good year.

Will the human voting element sway a bit to compensate for last year's playoff, specifically speaking about the Big 12. Folks are really favoring the conferences with title games... it's going to be a wild ride again with the Big 12

Between Oregon, Stanford, SC, UCLA and Arizona State it's tough to call the conference champ.. gun to my head ASU...

I wonder how the other players feel about Lockie not getting it? I asked yesterday but I wonder how that dynamic will go

To the people all in on ASU... who are they going to throw to? Jaelen Strong is gone.

Oregon will be in the playoff.

LOL

You wanna jinx it for us then?
I seriously think UCLA's got it this year. 12-1 at season's end and headed to the playoffs.
Nah, USC's favored on the NT poll for a reason. They'll be #1 going into the playoff and Sark's getting his first of multiple titles.
Nah, man. No way.

UCLA returns like 24 starters and I heard an analyst say Rosen is the smartest quarterback since Davey O'Brien. I'd never thought about it like that but he has a point.

I also think Mora's figured out Stanford and Oregon. No way he loses to them again. And with Myles Jack in the middle of the defense, running the ball on offense, and punting you've got playmakers in every facet of the game.

UCLA is the most complete team in the country. This is definitely their year.

UCLA has a real DC now. No more of Brich's bull**** and getting into slugfests with trash teams.

Utah is going to beat Michigan, we all feel this way right?

It's a question mark. They are pretty much banking on converting DJ Foster to WR and transfer Devin Lucien

I would be shocked if Michigan went into Utah and won

Yeah I don't blame him for leaving. Don't think he's a stud by any means but he is familiar with Bercovici and the OC so that helps

Foster will be the #1 option

This *****. Can't wait to find out which recruit he was sending that to illegally.

Michigan can beat Utah. The score to last years game is a bit misleading and the game was actually pretty even, leaning in Michigan's favor statistically a little. Utah took advantage of turnovers and had a special teams. TD. Michigan was horrible in both TO's and special teams last year but I expect they'll be better there. John Baxter, the new special teams coach, seems like he is going to have a big impact coaching ST's. Jake Ruddock might not be a world beater at QB but as long as he protects the ball that'll be a big change from last year. I think the Defense has potential to be one of the best in the B1G, even in the nation. Our OL might actually, finally be good, which with our stable of RB's, we'll hopefully have some semblance of a running game.

Also, Harbuagh.

I was at the student practice. Rudock seems like he's going to throw nothing but checkdowns. Utah is really tough at home as well. It's winnable, but not super confident going in.

Utah also has one of the best front 7s in the country. It'll be tough for that QB, RB, o-line.
