2015 NY Knicks offseason thread, Los Almighty appreciation thread

Bad experiences, fights?

Likely the move for Friday. PM if you're around.

I've never gotten into fights at Irish bars/pubs, but I've experienced some really bad forms of racism. If there's one thing in the world I hate, it's racism. And I seldomly ever use the word hate, because it's just too strong of a word. But I'd say I hate racism.

I'll give Ravens Head a shot though. It sounds like a fun place. Are the women mature?

Florida sucks. I hate this god forsaken place. I've lived in ft. lauderdale area for the past few years and it's terrible. Terrible public transportation, people can't drive, people are slow, you have to drive EVERYWHERE, it's hot and humid every single say, and when it rains you cant do anything because the IQ of the people in this State drops like 40-50 points. If I want to go to a beach that bad, I'll go to Puerto Rico and spend half the money.

Hopefully my wife gets into law school in NY because I cant take this **** anymore.

I feel you on every aspect you pointed out about Florida. I go down there every October with co-workers to play golf and I can't stand the damn rain and humidity. I couldn't imagine how annoyed I'd be living there.

felt the same way when i lived in BK.

I never understood the hype about Brooklyn. What's so great about it?

You have a bunch of hipsters taking over your most cultured and historic neighborhoods, you have some of the worst livable areas in NY, the public schools down there suck, some of your trains are infested with bed bugs and there's heavy traffic in all your major highways--All the time. Oh, and BK has by far the WORST looking women.

Someone, PLEASE tell me why BK is so great? Is it because Jay-Z and Biggie always said "Brooklyn" in their songs and you guys became conditioned to think BK was amazing? Or was it all those people wearing those ugly looking Fubu shirts that said "Brooklyn" on it?

I'm waiting :lol

Only been down to Orlando for vacation, but I loved it. Wouldn't know what it's like living out there though.

i actually just came back from vacation in orlando. the heat wasnt too bad. it was in the 80s/90s at most, but it did rain every day. i have a timeshare down there, so i go for a week every year. its nice, but i couldnt live down there. the drivers are even worse than here in VA, the spastic weather, people are too ratchet, and everything is spread out.

Give this guy a rep for killing 3 Mosquitos^^^^ ...that really is an accomplishment since they're an annoying nuisance

Yep! And I'm allergic to them so I get stung everyday n break out...every summer is brutal :(

On the flip side, I'm impatiently waiting for some new Knicks news along with training camps and the season! Just wanna watch some games man!

i wasn't in gentrified BK. I was in Bath Beach (20th and Cropsey if I remember correctly), exit 5 on the belt. i left because it was too far away from my safety net (my parents and family). My oldest son was like 3 or 4 at the time and we didn't have a whip. on the weekends I would take the train to woodhaven, get my dads car, run errand in bath beach (laundry, groceries, etc), drive back to queens, then take the train back home. after a couple of months i was back in wodohaven. I spent the fall/winter in BK and that area wasn't that bad.

My spiel about BK wasn't geared towards you. It was for the people who were talking about BK so highly.

Seems to me like FL is a hit or miss, you either love/hate it. No in between. I like the Florida vibe, but haven't spent enough time down there to decide where I stand.

The Orlando theme parks are piff.

easy Hank, i just felt like telling a story. And your talking to me all wrong. its the wrong tone. you do it again, i'll stab you in the face with a soldering iron...

FL has some awesome parts... South Beach, downtown Orlando is cool, Tallahassee is the best college town (go Noles :hat), and I have friends who live in smaller beach cities on the coast and it's great if you like that sort of thing.

If you love the hot weather, it's great :lol but I just can't stand April-September being 85+ degrees. The "winter" is nice because it's slightly cooler and doesn't rain as much, but there's no concept of 4 seasons. If you live near the water, the weather is a little more tolerable, but if you're in central FL, it's just 90 degrees with high humidity and brutal.

And even then, there's good parts, but it's completely different. You have to drive everywhere... public transportation isn't even an option for the most part :lol They've built the Sunrail train but it's still in it's early stages. But the theme parks are cool, the beaches are great, downtown Orlando has the bars and clubs, so you can make the best of the situation, but it can't compare to a major city like NY.

I can't complain that it's all been bad, but I'm definitely read to live somewhere else.

BK got all the natural haired black beauties running around and all the trust fund white girls from random parts of the USA.

My floral print baes...

Watch out, Pahtna.

I'll whack you in the throat with my 9 iron. And you wont get an invite to my next swinger party.

Word I'm not with all that heat/humidity, I need my 4 seasons. :lol

Hank the type of dude to throw a bag of trash at a broad on Bell Blvd for stepping on his Bruno Magli's.

Nah, I would never throw a bag of trash on a girl. I'd just sleep with her and never call her.

Watch out, Los. Hank might invite you over to listen to some Huey Lewis.

And god forbid if you have a better business card.

Los lost the chance to come over to listen to Huey Lewis with me.

One of my favorite episodes of The Simpsons and arguably my favorite character on the show.

The man is so ominous, but cool at the same time.

Hear you in that regard, but Raven's Head has treated me well and offered no complaints.

Like any aspect of nightlife in NYC, the bad comes with the good but like myself, I trust you're savvy enough to pick through the litter. One major plus is the diversity. I like trying new things and experiencing different cultures. RH offers that.
