2015 NY Knicks offseason thread, Los Almighty appreciation thread

Where can a brother catch this Mayweather fight tonight in the city?

and maybe in Williamsburg?

I gotta be honest with you guys...some of the best females I've met were from queens

Agree or disagree?

Queens has always been known for their women. Can someone show me where I can meet classy women in Queens? Astoria has those hipsters type women and Bell blvd is filled with J-wow's :lol

I can't see you on Bell Blvd, Hank. You have too much going for you :lol have had many fun nights there, but there's always some tomfoolery. Saw this chick fight this dude on there once and the dude threw a bag of trash at her. Was hilarious.

Damn, some of these prices y'all talking about and looking at are nuts! :lol

Better off copping a 4BR crib in the burbs in NJ for like 300k. take the path and be in the city in 15 mins, like what I do. :lol

and homie living in the Ivy Hill section of Newark, thats crazy. I got family out there. 30 second walk you right in the hood. lmao.

Queens eh

Got some great females cuz they're so diverse but that about it. I been up and down LIC for a few years, it's cool. Not better than BK though.

Being a Queens guy myself, I'm trying to settle down and meet someone. I'd like to meet someone down to earth and from the same background as me. I've seen and dated too many of these spoiled girls with privileged upbringings--I'm not into that.

I want to meet a classy, cultured girl raised from humble upbringings and knows about what it's like to grow up without privilege. I'm from Queens, so it would be nice to meet a girl from Queens as well :lol

I heard this guy on the train yesterday talking about how rent used to be 65-70 bucks a month on St Marks place in Manhattan in the 70s

That's insanity :lol

Adjust that to inflation and how ****** St. Marks used to be--It's around $309

When my dad first immigrated here (80's), he lived in the LES near the NYU area. He told me he lived with 2 other guys and rent was around $375. He mentions this EVERYTIME he comes over to my apartment :lol

According to my dad, NYC used to be a ****HOLE back in the 80's. He's told me about all the times he got mugged walking home or in the subway. I can't imagine NYC like that now.

At this point we need to accept Shumpert for what he is. He's a defensive minded guard who he is a streaky shooter and finds himself in slumps. He let's what the media says and trade rumors effect his play.

I don't think Shumpert can ever be the player we all hoped he could be. Best case scenario--he's becomes a "3D" type of player in the league. I do think he can be an Ariza type of player if he's put in the right system and given a role he can understand and play in. Maybe this triangle offense will be more telling of what to expect from Shumpert. He'll have the open corner three often and will be given the chance to slash to the paint.

He's in a contract year, so he'll be looking to have a "big" year. None the less, I don't think the Knicks should offer him a ton of money. Phil will handle this situation carefully and will do the most rational thing when it comes time to resign him.

Living in Florida is rough. it's not as glamorous as it seems. That Florida rain and humidity is enough to drive me crazy and leave :lol

I just came back from Florida for vacation and the weather is all kinds of confused. I have a time share down there, so I'm used to it, but it drives me crazy still.

Yeah man, my great grandmother lived on 1st st. and 2nd ave. Terrible. Where I was in Bayside it wasnt that bad, and I use to be in Flushing a lot because my grandfather owned a body shop on College Point. :{
