Giles struggled in the spring, but we were just supposed to write it off cause it was spring training :lol

My read on the closer situation is two things. One, Hinch didn't want to rustle any jimmies in the clubhouse that could mess with chemistry by not naming Gregerson the closer. Two, there been external rumblings from national media that they don't want Giles to close because saves will drive up his arbitration number. I don't buy into theory two at all :lol

While I'm happy they're playing well, it is the Braves and Marlins we've been playing. I'll take the hot start though. Contrary to popular belief games in April do count :lol

Nats have only been in town for 10 years. And if you're just talking about pro sports, last one was actually in '92.

So far so good with the Dusty effect. Part of that is due to playing the Braves 6 of 8. I just like the vibes and make-up of this team. Hard to credit one player, but Murphy is exactly what this team needed.

won't get a true feel on how much better they are until that nasty road trip at the end of the month. @ STL, CHI, KC.

dusty was Manager when Giants got to WS in 2002 and Cubs got to Got to NLCS the next year.

Yep. Pretty easy April schedule, but we've still gotta win the games. Gotta take advantage of this.
