Is anyone else pure shocked by the early year success Beltran is having? Thought he was well past his prime and would be an average contributor for STL at most. What was up with the Braves/Phils game, saw it was 13-12 at one point off a bad Hanson start.

The moment Beltran signed with Stl I knew he would be solid.  They ALWAYS do that !#@@.  Berkman, Beltran, Rolen, whoever.  Think they're done, then sign with the Cards, back in the game.  Leave to go elsewhere, never hear from them again.  Albert....

I know Albert is maybe stretching it, but you get the idea.  Dudes always go career year(s) with the Cardinals.  It's great.

The Cardinals are kind of like the Patriots of the MLB, solid coaching and can turn nobodies/washed up vets into contributors.
Also does anyone remember when Weaver threw a no-no through 8 a couple years back against the Dodgers but lost 1-0? This must've been sweet for him

He had a great year last year, I wouldn't say he was well past his prime.  Was just a matter of him staying healthy.

Listening to the radio this AM and the Red Sox have something like $80 million of salary on the DL. Losers.
