He can't hit and his OBP is poop. I hardly ever start him anyway. The versatility is only nice if I actually use him. I don't. So, yeah.

Clayton Kershaw is dealing :x

I want Danny Espinosa to be sent to the minors, here's his line this season: .181/.213/.336 to go along with 31 K's and 3 BB's :{

I heard they have Rendon playing second down there to eventually take his spot if he doesn't pick it up by the ASB.

That's the plan, since being sent back down to the minors Rendon is hitting over .472 with 6 doubles, 2 homers, and a .568 OBP while slugging at a .806 clip. I'm curious to see how his defense is at 2B because Espinosa is actually a great fielder, but if you can't hit there isn't a spot for you on a team that's trying to make the playoffs. Tyler Moore needs to get sent down as well.

The Cardinals system is a gift and a curse...............

On one hand, you have a HOT beltran in right field with power on both sides of the plate, + defense in the outfield.

On the other hand, you have Oscar Tavares in the Minors.

With Beltran in his contract year and getting up there in age...........Do the Cardinals let Beltran walk and bring up the kid? Do they resign Beltran so he retires as a Cardinal and keep him on the bench/spot start in right field? Do they trade him NOW and bring up the kid and get something for him while he is hot?

BUT ANOTHER ISSUE.................MATT ADAMS................With Craig and Holliday signed for the long term and Jay playing nicely in center field without a clear cut replacement for that position (in addition to the Beltran and Tavares situation) there is NOWHERE for Matt`s bat to go in the lineup........period.

The only way i see this being resolved is either a trade of Matt Adams(and everything stays as it is now), Allen Craig(put Matt Adams at first and keep Matt in left) or Matt Holliday(put allen Craig in left field and Matt Adams at first base).

I guess this is a very good problem to have............but HOW IN THE HELL do you decide?

And dont get me started on the pitching..........We have soo many prospects ready to come up and contribute. Wacha is MLB ready, but nowhere in the rotation for him to pitch. We`ve already brought up Gast, Maness and Martinez..........

Man - o - man...............Im really excited about the Cardinals future, but ALLOT of decisions on the future could be made between this year and next year. (and it could get REALLY expensive, lol)

I would pay a team every penny I have to take Daric Barton.

I swear this guy has some dirt on Billy Beane.:{:{

Having this "problem" is a "gift". It is better to have a talent surplus than to have none at all. Tavares needs to get some big league at bats this year to help make that decision easier.

I graduated from Texas A&M and saw Wacha's whole college career, I'm ready for him to get called up lol

What do y'all think about Kershaw throwing 132 pitches last night?

I'm a former pitcher and have always hated the thought of the arbitrary number of 100 being a lot of pitches. There is no science behind that thought, it's just a round number. However, that barrier becomes an issue because pitchers are conditioned to that ~100 pitch mark. In Japan guys throw a ton of pitches in games and then throw 100+ pitch bullpens, the more you throw and build up arm strength/stamina the higher your threshold becomes. American pitchers are just babied because of the huge investments made in them, and can't really blame teams for it.

Depends on the pitcher.

See JV and Dice-K (in Japan).

Loved the clip of HJR playing catch with that kid Deuce in LF.

It happens, bro. For all we know Prado will hit sub-.250 rest of the year.

I'm kicking myself first for missing the draft, second for not adding Marte and Ryu off FA.

I pesonally think anyone who thinks Rendon will ever play second base and stay there for an extended period is wrong :lol

You're going to cut his career down if you stick him at second. Groom him for 3rd or first, his bat will play at either.
