FWIW - I've been around both Mike and Tony in non-professional settings. They are both VERY nice guys. I have a real hard time believing that Wilbon of all people means what he says on TV and also what he writes. He plays the contrarian role very well. Almost like a more eloquent Skip Bayless.
Anyways, he's made his bed and folks in DC are not too fond of him for a number of reasons.

I thoroughly disagree with the premise that the Indians are "melting down." Getting swept by the Tigers, a team that is the middle of a 12 game winning streak, hardly constitutes "melting down." Discounting the Tigers series, the Indians are 11-5 since the All star break. Including the Tigers series, they are still a respectable 11-9 since the ASB.
Where do you get this idea of melting down? I dont see it at all.
