Aren't our alt road jerseys based off the 80s road jerseys?

While we're on the uniform topic, I've always hated the As jerseys. Idk why but it just looks beyond putrid IMO. The only one that's ok are the green jerseys.

I like the 80s logo but I feel like it should stay in the 80s. Probably because I was born in the 90s but whenever I see that old SF logo it just looks off to me.

i like that the current san fran look like the old new york giants stuff
30s-50s stuff in general (jerseys, caps & logos thereof) look the best to me

Giants orange jerseys are amazing.
Love the Giants and Orioles orange unis.

And I don't like the team, but these might be my favorite unis in the league:

1000

I've always hated those SF orange jerseys. The orange with gold looks so damn dumb to me.

I love those current/throwbacks STL wears :smokin

Tanaka with another quality start. Every start has been a quality start for him. But Yankees bats are absolutely dead, so he's getting his second loss.

They have to move Jeter down in the order, to get Gardner & Ellsbury hitting back to back.

I think everyone knows the As are good. At this point, the question is can they beat the Tigers in October?

The parity in baseball is ridiculous right now. Is anyone completely out of it other than the Rays, Cubs, Astros, and all but two teams in the NL West? September is going to be spectacular.

The way things are going they won't play Detroit in October. And the Tigers aren't the same.

Detroit is 1st in their division currently. Right now if they played the As it would have to be in the ALCS, but Detroit's pitching is still elite and I'm sure Verlander will right the ship before too long. It can happen, not saying it will but it can.

Detroit's grip on the Central division is tenuous at best, as you noted earlier about MLB's parity this year. The Royals could push them all the way through September.

Outside of the A's it's hard to make an argument for another elite team above the rest. The Giants maybe, but they've slid.

Thank the lord we didn't get swept. Tough series coming up against Milwaukee.

Went to the Nationals stadium for the first time today. Cool place and they had a nice win over Atl

He says he checks video to see if he's too close to the plate but doesn't see anything. Maybe he should back up anyway.

Would it be reasonable for MLB to fine hitters for the back swing if it hits the catcher? Some of these guys have no control whatsoever when they're swinging.

just the other game - that A's catcher was struck in the glove hand by a red sox batter...

so hard he had to take a 5 minute time out before continuing...perhaps this A's catcher has a tendency to get a little too close?
