Most stars don't leave after their first contract, so teams can put the franchise tag on someone and still risk losing them?

Really don't blame Durant for leaving, there is no way Russell could sustain the level of play that he has. His decline is going to be worse than Iverson's being that he has no fundamentals to rely on. It's all athleticism for Russ and nothing else. You see dudes in the YMCA at 50 who can still shoot. And that is what you have with Curry, Klay and the rest. Good move in the long run.

nba is taking over from NFL as a 52 week sport. The drama between bron and everybody for the last 5 years was just ending, and now durant is starting up the news cycle again. I'm rather shocked he is going to gs.
