lakers have a crap load of chips and no one wants to sign here. boston has a lot of chips as well as has trouble getting big time free agents. no one says past chips dont matter, your taking what im saying wrong. as a player wanting to get paid for a championship you won many years ago. nah. you were already compensated that year you won a championship. you dont get paid for how good you were or what you did in the past. you get paid for what you can do today.

Only marquee free agent the Lakers have ever really gotten throughout their history is Shaq. Dwight was traded for, Wilt was traded for, Kareem was traded for, Pau was traded for, and the others were drafted in West, Magic, Worthy, and Kobe. It's never been in their forte really mostly cause they've always been over the cap. But the management has tarnished the brand to a point now where even with 60 million in cap space,  young players, and the city of LA as a market nobody wants to come.
