Steph ain't taking less. But KD is taking enough of a paycut that GS can keep Iggy and Livingston. So that wraps the next 2 years at least. Klay is what could make or break them from MJ like dominance of the next 7 years or so. Cause they can only give the supermax to one of he or Draymond and Klay may not even make All NBA to be eligible.

did Oakland become less arrogant and cocky after getting embarrassed in last year's finals?
I would say the real warrior fans really just stay within themselves and celebrate together and not care about what the outside world thinks of the team and fan base.. it's the noob fans that are pretty cocky and arrogant that's just along for the ride.. if you think about it the Bay Area market there is a lot of people that are not really from there and just became fans .. they are rich and are able to flaunt that they can go to games and be arrogant about how the team is winning ..

It's part of the winning culture.. you can't not like the way the warriors play .. they play defense the way it's supposed to be played and an unselfish offense that has never been seen before especially with the stars on that team that are willing to take pay cuts..

Klay Wants to leave? Sources?
Nah I'm just saying he's the one that kind of seems like he would leave. My bad
He's not leaving under the current circumstances. Do you see this guy's demeanor?

Dude is just happy to be along for the ride.

Good point.

So who's the odd man out?

Haha that's what it's come down to though ? People suspecting with no sources that the team will split up ...

the warriors teams of old (5+ years ago) did have some of the best fans of any team. so i can respect that.

the players themselves do come across as arrogant at times, but i guess it's no worse than the 2000s Lakers or the 2010s Heat championship teams.

I'm just going to be bitter at all of them until my nuggets can win something, anything.

So?

The refs notoriously swallow their whistles in that situation, and it's not a guarantee that Draymond would have fouled him.

Regardless, it's flat out ridiculous to suggest that Bron should throw up caca or a bad shot and hope for a foul instead of passing to an OPEN KYLE KORVER. Jesus christ.
he's going to be extra careful to not try to get that 6th foul..and you acting like Draymond is impossible to score on. Cmon man
. I don't see what's so ridiculous about wanting to get a two point shot when you are down by two...

they were actually up two..

Thank you for iggy lol

a lot of the fans that were going to the games when it was still affordable got priced out. lot more corporate folks and wealthy people go to the gm. some became fans, others go because it is like the hot spot to be and take selfies/instagram photos showing off that you are at a warriors gm

We're speculating on the future contract situations.

It's all cool in the short-term, but long term this bench is gonna get worse and it also hinges on how much money KD and Steph are willing to give up. If they both want max contracts, Klay or Dray are gone.

So a lot do it for the Culture?

Blame Dwert if he would have just chosen GS instead of Houston, KD's move at least would likely not have been possible.

Exactly what I just pointed out.. it's part of living in the Bay are to be honest.. all the locals are being pushed out ..

dray been on record saying that he's willing to take less cause he is about winning.
steph can ink a deal which would put him as the highest paid player in the league if i remember reading

steph and kd would be taking that paycut since they make it up with endorsements
how much they are willing, who knows. but i would not be surprised if this core does stick together

Bench isn't needed when you have the superstars this team had.. look who they have on their bench now other than iggy and Livingston ? Clark is easily replaceable and javale was a joke before he came here .. it's a real definition of a plug and play bench

this. also, there will always be proven vets that are willing to give up some money to ring chase late in their career when they already have had big contracts
not asking the bench to do much, just show up and get dressed :lol

They can bring Iggy and Shaun back on multi year deals thanks to KD. Those are really the only two indispensable bench guys. They can get a Javele McGee/West/Barnes for the vet minimum easy to rotate every season.

They'll be paying out of the *** in luxury tax but that's Silicon Valley and they moving to SF in a couple seasons. Money isn't going to be an issue.

Think it's been reported that KD and steph are willing to take less.

Think Klay seems like he's the only one that wants to leave but can't gsw offer them the most? AND they have the best chance of winning for the next x years
I'll commend them for doing so if true, but realistically I don't see that happening and "less" is a very small amount if I'm comparing it to the Heat's big 3.

If they're willing to pay the luxury tax hits they'll be receiving, then no worries for GS.

lacob doesnt mind paying the luxury. he says he has no choice as long as the team is contending/winning chips. team is a historical run, oracle packed, ready to move to sf, GS value at an all time high

Well, yeah. Livingston and Iggy are really your only cornerstone bench guys. Keep them and the big 4 and you're ready to rock.

But you don't think Iggy thinking about one last payday? He's only getting 11M right now? I mean he's made 121M over his career, certainly enough to enjoy forever, but he could cash in somewhere else. Dude does seem like he's happy where he's at though so I don't think he's going anywhere.

Their flexibility is only going to go down as the players' contracts increase with standardized raises, unless both Curry and Durant take massivepaycuts. That's possible, but unlikely. It's not just the first year of these deals that's the problem, either. For example, if the Warriors keep Green and Thompson, Curry takes the new designated player extension at 35 percent of the cap plus raises, and Durant takes the max, they're going to be at $116 million in 2018-19.

That's a $116 million payroll for four players against a salary cap of $108M.

This seems like a problem.

Gonna have to be some sizable pay cuts. Sure, their owner is probably willing to pay the tax, but at what point does he break?

Yeah maybe less as in like they'd be leaving like 5-10M off. Which isn't that much for a 170+ million contract but is enough to make a difference in the cap

Also it seems the warriors owner is indeed willing to pay the tax

Damn so they'd have to be leaving off like 20 m?

Edit: my math is all fugged

Lol

Lol errybody is hoping and praying that the money will be the issue but the dubs owner's pockets ain't hurting & he's willing to pay the tax.

Watch Bron plan a spurs takeover. He will probably get cp3 to sign there first.
