Watching Carr last year I was thinking that he might remind me the most of Rodgers out of anyone. It's not that he replicates what Rodgers does or how he does it because no one will, it's just that he has such arm talent that "proper" throwing mechanics don't seem to apply to him just like Rodgers. This paired with the fact that he's probably even more mobile than Rodgers ever was in and rolling out of the pocket. So you end up seeing wild passes (in a good way) from all angles, off the back foot, flat footed, across the body ect.
Thing is he doesn't look like Rodgers. He's got his own little mechanical, style, swagger, hard to describe thing, that's unique to only Derek Carr. Which is why he reminds me of Rodgers. That dope no-look TD pass would probably sum that up.
