if isolated to just sports, that cavs team winning is a great story.. and i can see an argument being made for greatest ever, if you're limiting the scope of the discussion

in my lifetime, i consider the 3 biggest upsets in sports to be WITH the benefit of hindsight: THAT cavs team coming back from down 3-1, patriots coming back from down 28-3 with barely 2 mins left in the 3rd AND the US winning that 4 x 100 free relay in '08 with france diving in with the lead and the fastest guy in the world ever to that point in that race

all 3 of the above would be hard to believe if they were put into movies

I would add:

Red Sox def Yankees 2004 ALCS after being down 3-0 and having to win game 7 on the road.
Matt Serra def GSP via 1st round TKO
Buster Douglas KO's Tyson

So, the NBA decided Smith's clearly dirty play is not worthy of punishment.

Does this mean the Celtics can hit LeBron in mid-air next game the first chance they get? Let's try it and find out.
Not when it has to deal with the Cavs, protect the product at all time. It clearly applies to the Warriors when they had a commanding lead and suspended their glue.

It should have at least been upgraded to a flagrant 2.

I have a feeling we haven't seen the end of this. JR did this too:

I cant argue with personal favorites and I didnt say that them coming back wasnt a great story.

I simply said it wasn't the greatest and honestly speaking just of top of my head

Miracle on Ice
Giants beating undefeated Patriots
RedSox vs Yankess 3-1 are all worthy during your lifetime.

Lastly, my problem is not even consenting that it was a great story, but not the way worded and meant ... Lebron didnt come back to beat the Warriors, the Cavs did.

again, i think it's the context of how "a great story" is being defined.. all 3 named are great stories

but those who actually watched football knew the giants had a chance because they could get pressure with just their front 4 and not having to blitz.. THAT's how you beat brady teams

that ATL/pats game doesnt make my list because of what everyone thought before the game.. it made the list because of the improbability of coming back from being down 28-3 with that little time left

red sox being down 0-3 to the yankees does make my list too (which has only happened 1 time in the sport, i think), considering their championship drought to that point thrown in too.. but baseball and hockey got wayyyy to much going from game to game for me to put with those 3

That was way more of an issue for Kobe than LeBron
Nobody openly asked to be traded to another team when Kobe was the best in the league AND the Lakers were contenders.
Kyrie, on the other hand.....

Before you bring up Shaq, he wanted more money.

Other former NBA players are already saying that this was in no way a basketball play. He could have ended his career.

Wish I could have been in the arena last night to chant **** You at him.

something about that parquet floor got jr smith on that sauce
was that the year that ny fans thought things were going to be turned around and they would be going deep in the playoffs?

Did that Shaq vs. Kobe beef never happen?
does anyone ever feel like Kobe threw that series /wanted to lose so they could kind of have an excuse to get rid of shaq.no way if they had won could they have broken up that team. I used to always feel like that but I don't know anymore.

nah bruh. no matter what he does it's a knock.
bron haters want it both ways
just like how some bron fans do

this man lebron could end racism and he'd still get hated on lmao

He got clowned in the NBA thread a few years ago for encouraging inner city kids to stay in school and go to college. I could already see the posts if he ended racism.

"He could have done it sooner if he let people help him. He had to do it the selfish way."
