Hypothetically speaking...because I don't for a second think it's possible...if Lebron and the Cavs somehow, someway get this done.....is he the undisputed GOAT :nerd:
I think so but then the NT doctors gonna write an excuse about how steph slipped on gordons shoe and twisted his ankle in game 7.

Yup. GSW are the anti-brons lol

Struggled this series but about to be world beaters against Bron again

Then all the front runner KD>Bron takes gonna come back :lol

Yea I was counting CP, harden and EG. That’s it. Nobody can go get a bucket on the block or say hell damn this 3 and layup philosophy...I still can get a great look from the mid. Only person that still has that mindset was CP and after he went down it was a wrap.

That dumb *** 3 and layup thought process is silly.
But that’s been the analytical strategy of Daryl Morey for years now. If it ain’t from 3, the paint, or the FT line then forget it. A mid range anywhere outside the paint is still the same 2 points as a layup so don’t bother...so stupid

When Harden and EJ started driving but putting up tear drop floaters they were going in. Obviously we’re keyboard GMs but isn’t 2 points better than 0?

This was part of my disappointment with James. He’s Mr. Free Throws and just continued to launch after his touch completely left him after G1.

Especially in G7 I was 100% certain that he was going to go DIRECTLY at Klay when Kerr put him back in with 3 fouls, but it inexplicably never happened.

You have a pretty decent chance to beat them without CP3 if they don’t have both Iggy & Klay out there.
He shot 8 free throws last night and that's with the refs missing back-to-back calls on Harden 3s (would be another 6 FTs) and then an And-1 3 that they ended up calling a foul on the floor instead of the shot. Would've been another FT. If the refs actually do the right thing, that's 15 FT attempts. That would be 5 more FT attempts than he averaged in the regular season per game, and 7 more attempts than he averaged in the playoffs.

This. Obviously, you’d prefer the extra point but factor in that the 16 footer is easier. That 0-27 stretch was terrible especially for a team like Houston. Throw in that personal 0-20+ on 3s from harden during games 5 & 6 and that was an ugly showing for them.

Fatigue caused the team to keep chucking 3's. If you want to blame someone blame the coach and that 7 man rotation. Team was gassed and settled for jump shots last night.

Never understood why they take their babies on the podium.

That's the place where you're trying to turn up and be loud with your team.

Not a good spot for a baby
You'll never understand bec. You never won a western conference title and you probably never will.. the podium is NOT the place to turn up that is the locker room

Rockets even tried playing Joe Johnson aka the mid range iso king last night to maybe get going. That didn’t work either.

I don’t blame them for chucking 3s, it’s what got them there. Plus their defense last night was A1, kept them in it. Don’t think anyone would predict that they’d miss that much last night. Hell if they made 2 more 3s or for those missed calls the game would be different.

Hardens iso game is cool for the dudes that hoop at 24 hour fitness because they can ooh and aww when people get crossed etc, but it doesn’t equate to winning basketball. I’ve always disliked hardens game. My guy Dwade gets labeled Dwistle but Hardens game is more reliable on the refs and it doesn’t translate in the playoffs. Harden just a better And 1 mixtape player with a better jump shot.

This is so ******* true. One of the dudes I was watching the game with last night is one of those life long rec center players who slurps Harden so much. Will argue any point you have about the dude. There’s guys that draw fouls when the opportunity is there like when they get somebody in the air, and then there’s guys like Harden and Wade who aren’t even thinking about the shot attempt 90% of the time, they’re just thinking about how they’re going to draw the foul. Embiid is my favorite player but even when he has stretches of games where he tries to do this it annoys the HELL out of me.

It’s not that easy to just shoot midrange jumpers instead of 3’s and layups

You have to be able to generate good looks from the midrange for this to be a viable option.

If you can’t dribble or playmake of course you’re going to shoot a ton of 3’s because no one aside from Harden could dribble w/CP out

There aren’t too many guys in the league who can generate quality midrange looks

Realize that a big reason why the league has trended towards more 3’s is because most guys can’t generate open looks from the midrange or make enough contested midrange jumpers to justify taking them.

The Rockets missing a ton of 3’s doesn’t have anything to do with taking midrange jumpers or getting to the rim. You have to be able to get open and make midrange jumpers. You have to be able to put the ball on the floor and get to the damn rim, a real skill that can’t be had with just a mindset switch.
