I think the complete opposite of this. I'm surprised at how optimistic people are w/the C's for this series personally.
I just feel Milwaukee has underperformed their talent all year, so it's deceptive to look at their roster. Boston might not have their stars but they have a lot of depth and are well coached. I hope you're right because I'd rather see Giannis in the second round than Al Horford for entertainment's sake.

There's really no reason That the Bucks should lose to this Celtics Roster. Who is missing two 20 ppg scorers & Their sixth man/ arguable best defender. Giannis would absolutely get some blame if they do lose.

There's no reason the Bucks should be 44-38 but they are.

I have it as a 7 game series, I can see Stevens finding ways to "contain" Greek for 3 games or so

Boston also has home court which I saw as the difference in the series going with Boston

The coaching discrepancy is out of this world though.

I have ZERO faith in Joe Prunty coming up with a good game plan

Man, how'd we draw the Jazz? There's buzz, but relative to what we normally get down here, not really. Tickets only going for slightly aboce face value, my group sales rep called me Friday with plenty of availability which is unheard of. I live down the street so no reason not to go see what the Thunder Alley and Bricktown (downtown) experience is looking like.

And Giannis should get some of the balme for that also. because the roster has some pretty good players, especially in the east.
They do have a decent paper roster, they have way underachieved. I just don't see any reason for them to turn it around now. Poor coaching and play from the non-Giannis players all year.

Blame for him is a little harsh. IDK it's similar to where AD was with the Pels the last couple of seasons. Giannis was pretty amazing this year. 27 pts 10 boards 5 assists on 53% shooting while playing elite defense? That's pretty much unassailable.

Well, Parker missed more than half the season

Bledsoe (who didn't get a training camp with them) and Middleton are solid pieces, outside of that it's rough

How many wins did you peg them? I think they're right around where they should be all things considered. They need to find a coach and add some more pieces to keep up with Boston and Philly

Coming into the year/post-Bledsoe trade I thought they could be as good as contending for the three seed considering how well Giannis has played, more likely in the 4-6 range but definitely not scrapping for the 7th. Maybe to be in the 48-52 win range. They haven't taken any types of leap at all.

Like you said for the East you have an MVP candidate in Giannis, a solid PG in Bledsoe, Parker was supposed to take a step and then you have Middleton. Expected Maker to be better, "ROTY" Malcolm Brogdon. They just seem like a roster that should be better especially defensively.

Agree with the sentiment, they definitely "underachieved" or feel like they haven't taken a leap. That much I agree on

I however never saw them as a 50 win team quite yet or close to it, Giannis exploded recently but he's still 23 and Parker's knees really prevented him from becoming a true sidekick

Middleton is not a 2nd option on a contender, he's a 3rd

Giannis needs to improve his handle and find a jumper this offseason

He can’t keep getting by on his athleticism alone

Not so much that I'm high on the Celtics but the bucks are the NBA's big butt and a smile. Can't be trusted

I'on even rock with Milwaukee or Giannis like that but the C's can't score as is with this roster, that length (pause) will only amplify that. Can't see how Boston scores enough

You really feel this way? For real? I love the NBA and think it's popularity is rising fast, but I can't get there yet w/the NFL
I 100% feel this way. In 5-10 years... the NBA will reign supreme in America.

  • For starters basketball > Football
  • The NBA is a much better run league and it isnt even close
  • We're getting VERY close to 365 basketball and there will be actual content instead of people sitting on ESPN talking about the same things over and over for three of those months
  • Not America centric but basketball is global and football is not, which I think will cause spillover
  • Its far easier to access basketball content especially when you want to do it legitimately. NBA League Pass exists; the amount of hoops one has to jump through to get Sunday ticket...
  • We're starting to see a lot more of the negative things about football come to the forefront. The danger of it, and the blatant in your face racism of it
The NBA is coming for the NFLs neck.

I think they’re scared to throw Embiid back in the mix with the winning streak and they either won’t play him til we lose a game or til this series is over.
