Do we know for sure Pat was the #1 option? Just throwing it out there

Either way Stotts wasn't really to blame for that loss, Blazers were putrid on offense (they were getting decent looks) and got lucky Pels almost choked it away to begin with
So then the problem is that you have an All NBA 1st team guard and another fringe all star and you can’t call a play to free up either one of them?

So either way, the ball should not have found Pat under any circumstance

I've heard this proposal recently too, I'm not mad at it
I feel like it's been around forever. People always trying to figure out how to get Wall and Boogie together. If I'm the Pels, I would do it immediately. Perfect complementary player for AD. Plays really good D, really good 3pt shooter, and doesn't need the ball in his hands.

Boogie's health would worry me if I'm the Wizards, but I think Boogie would give them a higher ceiling than Otto does.

What I meant was, whomever passed the ball in, could have been on him. Stotts could have drawn up a play for Dame or CJ. I don't know honestly I'm just wondering/throwing it out there

Bottom line the players missed tons of shots, like they have all season and didn't help themselves for a majority of the game to be in a favorable position. Stotts on the other hand might have screwed up the last play but blame shouldn't really be on him

Only Pop could take this roster to the playoffs

considering the roster, he's done a fantastic job this year. Don't know if there are 3 other coaches in the league that would have had the current spurs roster flirting w/50 wins.

At some point continuity probably played a big factor. As old as dirt as they are, outside of the Leonard debacle, the core is mostly no nonsense drama free playoff tested vets

Take into account daily routines, experience, comfort/chemistry with each other, it's like clock work for those guys

Next season without Leonard and the same roster though.... playoffs aint happening

I would rather Wall with the Pels vs getting Otto. Even tho we been needing a 3 for years

Pat was open right under the basket. The play could've been for Dame or CJ had the play progress but I dont mind passing it to a guy open two feet away from the basket. That would have been two points if it was any other guy but Jrue tbh. What was more head scratching was them going for a quick two

Said this in the first half last night, but Portland can't be too worried after the result of that game. To lose by two when your stars shoot that poorly is A-OK for a game 1. Should be a long series.

He was “open” in the sense that you could inbound the ball, but to convert he was going to have to finish in traffic. I’m not putting a 5 ppg guy in that position with the game on the line. He’ll likely fail to convert, which is exactly what happened.

Sixers are really going to add a Top 10 pick to this roster, possibly landed a big-time free agent, and have a chance at the #1 pick in 2019. Absurd.

I expect the Celtics to win, I would be pretty shocked if Milwaukee did. They have been underperforming the entire season.

I think the complete opposite of this. I'm surprised at how optimistic people are w/the C's for this series personally.
