Where do you prefer the lace lock?

Think I may sell my 14 pair because it's a half size too small with this news. Jordan finds a way to keep us buying.

Yeah I've worn my 2014 pair 3x tops lol. Love this shoe too. Might need to unload this and wait for this upcoming version instead

I think the absolute worst thing has been the VI shape.. it was okay on the Gatorades but anything else after 09/2010 has been a monstrosity lol. If we get boot 2014s with NA it will probably go down as the laziest remaster job.

top 3 AJ for me

so, early next year we're looking at these and black/red IV's in February?

that'll be an expensive month

These are a MUST have. Also, not sure why someone mentioned that these will replace the Black Cement IV's that are set to release. It looks like both will release in 2019.

I just bought the UNC 6 thinking these won't be out for a while, but both are cool. I do loves me some NikeAir.

+1 I will go HAM on the in-store raffles (if they still exist in 2019) and on the apps for both of these releases.

Don’t see why they wouldn’t still exist lol we’re talking 2019 not 2039.

Second favorite Jordan all time, in for a pair.
Definitely won't be in the thread that much though, not bout to sit here and read people cry about the Infrared not being Varsity red for 9 months.

Why do people keep saying the og had a back leather heel?

That’s just the durabuck aging throughout the year
Ah, the leather denying post that appears in EVERY Infrared 6 thread. There’s dozens of pictures on Google, and on IG from OG collectors that prove otherwise.

I've never held the OG so i could be wrong but I don't think it's leather. The durabuck DEFINITELY had a different (smoother) texture on that heel piece but I'm 99% sure it's durabuck and the smooth texture (if I had to guess) is due to the molding process that they used to get those sharp lines and the "bubble" part that sticks out near the ankle.

Scollard23 on IG says different. Back in the 90s, Durabuck was used to look like nubuck and to look like leather. The OG Grape 5s and White Cement 4s has durabuck that was leather like. It was a cheaper synthetic alternative

Yup, it’s definitely not leather.
The piece was thinner as there had to be something in place to keep the structure in back.

You mean to tell me leather cracks like durabuck?

My response was to your claim about the leather look coming with age. It’s not true. Is it actual leather? No. It’s synthetic. OG Air Jordans 4-6 used synthetic leather.

The 6’s might be the most transcendent Jordan of all time...The only other Jordan shoe that even comes close is the 1’s...When it released they were literally everywhere you looked...

Rock / Grunge bands, in movies, on TV shows...He’ll even old men were wearing them with their Dockers around my way...They were basically the New Balance 99x or Nike Monarch of the early 90’s...

Can’t recall any other model having it like that...The Black / Infrareds in particular were what most people rolled with too...In fact most other models had a very hardline, you either love them or hate them kind of thing going on...6’s never seemed to suffer from that problem...

It could be a different material, who knows but the 2000 tend to end up the same after a while

They didnt “end up” like that. That’s how they released. Are you trolling?

The original pair had a contrast upper. The 2000 recreated the look. So did the DMP 6.
