Where do you prefer the lace lock?

I really wish they had some video footage on how some of these shoes were made. And what they had to do to accomplish the look they wanted to recreate. This release for sure. I just would love to see how the shoe was made from start to finish.

Yes. The molding on my left shoe is just incomplete. Less detail in bumps and ridges, and no contrast. The molding may not be so better now after all, but most pairs in here seem fine.

Yep. The molding on mine resembles the 2014 really. But the right shoe is spot on with the details.

Upon further review lol. The left shoe detail still blows the 2014 out of the water.

Ok here we go! I’m a crappy photographer  but I definitely enjoyed doing this. My 2000 infrared is beat and the DMP is yellowing. @marztharealist @forest hills

This recreation is legendary! Good stuff man, some of us wanted to see this, thank you!

UNDSd them today. I used to be a lace lock at the bottom guy, but I switched it up to this. Kinda
digging it.

You're almost there. Just a bit higher. :nthat:

To each their own but I never understood the LL placement on the bottom lace. It totally kills the aesthetics of the sleek toe box.

:nthat: Will never understand the lace lock at the bottom. So out of place. Ruins the aesthetic completely. Shrug.

Un-DS'd, trying something new this time with the locks:

Which one better, lock underneath jumpman or lock out?

Lock out! Always.

Interesting story. Could of course be total BS. But at least on the V, I remember saying months ago its ankle difference always seemed more likely to me to be caused during the production process. But the V ankle wasn’t as smooth as the heel on the VI. The VI seems done on purpose whereas the V does not. To me, anyway.

My second and third pairs should arrive Tues and Wed respectively. The FNL pair was shipped via Surepost, smh. Will never do that again, it’s slower than molasses.

I pay for ups mychoice and it let me upgrade my surepost packages. The first and last time I had surepost my package never made it.

The only thing that doesn’t make sense to me is, if JB really wanted to recreate that “accident” they definitely could have done it. Maybe use the old process. I’m not buying that whole it’s difficult to recreate bull. And I really don’t care that much about the heel but C’mon

I agree with this. I mean, look how they did the Air Raid AJ 8.

oh you must have mychoice premium. i have the free mychoice and i dont get that option to upgrade for free. but surepost has been good to me because the post office never leaves packages if it wont fit in my box and nobody is home. i get 2 weeks to go and pick up at my leisure.

surepost is blatant disrespect

I think twice about shopping with anyone who uses it. So far that's Macys, Jcrew, Finishline and Kicksusa

Yea I’m not buying this “by accident” story at all. Nike is the king of synthetic leather and they can’t replicate that look? Lol... lazy bastards.

If that’s how JB is gonna be going forward with their OG releases then I guess I’ll stock up on the great stuff released the last 5 yrs and retire.
