2020-21 NBA Offseason thread: Officially a wrap

Bron grooms them at an early age at his skills academy
from there, if he shows interests and likes you, he sort of mentors them and becomes a "big brother"

all the point guards in this picture was always the craziest thingto me.

Wonder if him a draymond discuss how he was going in on him on inside the nba, saying his head and the rest of his body don’t match.

He can still defend at a high level. They would’ve advanced against Denver if they had him. He can slow down any 5 besides AD. He held Embiid to literally zero points in a game last year.

But after Kawhi left, Raps really needed scoring in the playoffs which highlighted how far Gasol had declined in that aspect.
After watching the playoff series against the Cs, I loved every time he was out there instead of Ibaka. Maybe he's just better against traditional bigs. Whatever he was doing against Boston certainly wasn't it.

Said during like game 2 or 3 I didn’t understand why he was out there either  he’s only useful against offenses that rely on the 5 to score a bunch of points, enough teams in the West fit that bill for LAC to give him a look.

You really only have Embiid in the East. Bam doesn’t consistently get up shots. Vuc is a great scorer but the rest of the Magic suck

Any player who goes somewhere to better their situation should be praised.

why?

and how are we determining ‘better’ exactly?

Yes especially KD. It was a smart move and he proved to be the key their championship success in the back to back years. He would have won 3 straight Finals MVPs if it weren’t for the injury. Anyone who hates is a moron. If they could leave their current jobs to go to a top company, who had the best support staff, they would in a second. It shouldn’t be looked at differently for athletes.

it was a smart move for the warriors, obviously.. but it’s debatable whether it was a smart move for durant

while the warriors won, durant clearly didn’t find what he was looking for

and for me, a fan, the NBA wasn’t that good as a entertainment product because the league wasnt that competitive for a number of years

and we overlook a hell of a lot that wouldn’t fly for normal folks.. alot of shh with the lack of compensation of college athletes, drafts, rookie wage scales, limits of max salaries and salary caps just to name a few

Wanamaker better at this point cuz of his size and ability to get in the paint from time to time...Teague just mostly bricks 3’s these days and rarely makes plays for others, one of the recent Celtics draft picks at guard should take his mins soon enough if they have any type of game

don’t forget dribbling in place

Giannis not being a natural athlete is hilarious to me

being a “natural athlete” with height is what got dude in league...

not everyone growing up playing baseball.. or cricket or tennis or golf.. something where that skill woulda been developed

Ridiculous to think that standing in a batting cage and swinging at baseballs is a test of your general athleticism. Baseball is not a universal sport. Nor could it possibly be a test of athleticism. It's like if South Africans based LeBron James' athleticism on an hour of rugby.
