2020-21 NBA Offseason thread: Officially a wrap

Klay Thompson once scored 60+ points on 12 dribbles for the whole game. Jim Harden takes a minimum of 12 dribbles every possession. Transition would be seamless.
Philosophically the worst possible fit lol

Kerr would put hands on the guy but maybe that’s what jim needs at this point to get him to move his feet without the ball and to take midrangers

Good pickup for clip set. Think they get better in the playoffs and worse in the regular season after losing some depth. Still need a PG to unlock the rest of their starters

When curry has to do too much he gets injured... if you had another ball handler it would alleviate ware and tear .... if not the next two seasons will be like going they going thru the motions .... at the end of currys prime

Vincent Van Goat Vincent Van Goat , you a Mavs fan? Seen you lamenting loss of Seth, Delon, etc. I think y'all will be fine. Dallas replaced those guys with Richardson (just didn't fit in Philly), Terry, Green (UoA boy). Brunson ready for larger role and primed for more time in 25 MPG range. James Johnson versatile and on an expiring. Bey the conference DPOY at UC.

The one guy Mavs might have trouble replacing is actually a coach, Silas. I give him a lot of offensive credit for Luka's meteoric rise, bubble Iverson, etc. High on Jamahl Mosley as future HC, but he's tuned in on defensive side.

Yeah when I moved there 3 years ago I adopted them. It was painful seeing those guys get traded they were my favorite mavs outside of brunson

It took a while to come around to their process but it makes sense. They need dogs around Luka and more defense. Still don’t have that other playmaker yet but they will have a slot next off season

you’re not wrong about any of those assessments

Delon was basically worthless for them last year. If Tyrell Terry can hit a wide open 3 from time to time, the duo of him and Richardson is going to be flat out better than Delon/Curry. The additions of Johnson/Iwundu/Josh Green give them a lot more options on the wings that can defend.

Brunson being back gives you another high IQ ball handler, and Josh Richardson has more playmaking ability than what was displayed in the Philly trainwreck.

Dallas most definitely improved.

How’s Kerr going to hide two guys on the defensive side of the ball if they acquire James?
