Kind of crazy that 2 years after the Kawhi Leonard trade, San Antonio will have nothing to show for giving up one of the top five players in the league. DeRozan is going to walk for nothing and that draft pick became a rotational player (Edit: Kendall Johnson is pretty good)

Gregg popovich's arrogance has doomed San Antonio to being a treadmill team for the next decade unless they luck into another generational player in the middle of the first round.

They could have used the Kawhi Leonard trade as an opportunity to kickstart a rebuild but popovich is too arrogant to coach a bad, young team.
He shouldn't have to. Same way players get Thank you contracts the coach shouldn't have to coach a rebuild.

That being said this team sucks and we should have tanked from the second Kawhi left.

It’s not the Wiz, it’s on Beal…He hasn’t done or said anything that indicates he want to leave, so far it’s been the media and fans pushing for that the past couple years …Kinda like Dame until recently, they won’t do anything until he says he wants out
they a play in team something has got to give cant keep running back

Also nice to see how spain and france have the same coaches for what seems to be ages now. That’s some real chemistry between those team’s core and coaching.

Should Pop get the overall Blame? I'd think R.C. Buford should be blamed more. I can't remember the last time he's made a good move. I know he's not the GM now but he was responsible for where the Spurs are now.

Personally, I give popovich the book of the blame because he is the one with the vendetta against the Lakers and the guy who went out of his way to spite Kawhi Leonard.

Pop has hated the Lakers ever since the Pau Gasol trade, he even felt as though the league should have stepped in.

It was one of the public faces of the "basketball reasons" Chris Paul trade veto and he even told New Orleans to not trade Anthony Davis to the Lakers.

What's funny is a year later the Spurs traded the corpses of Bruce Bowen, Fab Oberto and Kurt Thomas for prime Richard Jefferson.

Nice to see more people joining my side saying Luka is the best player in the world. Better late than never, I suppose.

We need a worst fan base list. I have my top 3 locked in.
