these dude got a somewhat successful DC as a first time HC and acting like they kings of the division now

This is the macbk spin cycle.

First, hires new exciting defensive minded head coach.

Second, franchise overdrafts *insert bad QB school* quarterback in the top 5 despite empirical evidence about their college's poor track record in the NFL

Third, call said quarterback the future of the franchise. Say a lot of great things about said quarterback and relentlessly defend him like he is your child.

Fourth, franchise has no one to mentor and help said quarterback because they hired a defensive minded head coach and apparently do not know that competent "coordinators and positions coaches" exist.

Fifth, watch Mr. Quarterback open his first game with a pick six.

Six, then another interception

Seven, then another.

Eight, the ******* interceptions keep coming.

Nine, halfway through the season start to realize that this over drafted quarterback may not be good

Ten, at the end of the season defensive head coach gets canned for an "offensive mastermind" to help mentor the QB despite the mastermind never having an offense in the top half of the league

Eleven, spend the next two years watching offensive mastermind wreck any remnants of a salvageable franchise.

Twelve, head coach and GM inevitably get fired

Thirteen, new GM is left with massive amounts of cap room and immediately spends it all on a positions that don't matter like RB, WR, and overpaying linebackers.

Fourteen, you now have another top 5 pick in a strong QB draft so you have to pretend that your old QB no longer exists

Fifteen, replace said QB and start the cycle over again. Pretend to be oblivious to your woes as your start to feel confident in your future again.

Its a tale as old as time.

arent you a jets fan

Yup. That has nothing to do with the fact that NE gave Agholor silly money.

Would have liked him for our backup situation. Is Mullens available?

my guy still collecting checks

Yeah I don't care about overpaying a couple middle of the pack guys when you look at what we rolled out last year.

I'm also not pocket watching the Kraft family. Especially when this is Belichick's final stretch. No point in worrying about a few million now.
