Would Shanahan be interested in Kirk Cousins again? Gotta imagine its a wrap for Jimmy. The Niners have too good of a team to not try and trade for a capable QB in that system. And they probably won't be bad enough to draft one of the top 3-4 qB's in this draft.

but Shanahan loves Cousin and they worked well. I remember rumors he would be the Niners QB once Shanahan became the coach. He's a good fill in for now. The Niners don't need a top tier QB to win.

first, I want to say its not happening. They aint starting over with that new stadium.
But I'm ready to start tanking in a couple of years if possible. I'm all for tanking in 2022 so we can draft DJ Uiagalelei. NEED HIM.
Goff just isn't it. Or maybe its McVay. McVay's feel for in game changes is awful. We need a coach who's committed to running. He loves to pass too much. Thats a recipe for disaster for Goff.

Good assessment. After that Superbowl loss I knew it was either Goff or McVay who wasn't it for the team. By 2022 we will know.

McVay and Goff are 38-18
Goff and McVay dont mix. Its gotta be one or the other. I'm not asking for both to be gone. McVay doesn't even have confidence in Goff. When will he? He doesn't let Goff do anything on his own. At that salary, he should be able to. He's literally in his ear until the mic is cut off.
If I had to choose one, I'd keep Goff because QB's are hard to find.
Maybe McVay needs more seasoning to have that inner instinct of game flows. A lot of people are calling for him to give up play calling duties. I'd like to see it. His feel for how a game is being played out is terrible. We've seen Goff throw 50+ times before. It doesn't end well. But if he had his choice, he would have him throw 50 a game. He's in love with the pass.

I understand but no way Jimmy G should still be the QB there though. I'm sure the 49er fans are tired of him too and think its time to move on from him.
I mean what does Jimmy really have elite to get paid what he does. His arm is subpar, he's not athletic and the list goes on and on. As much as I hate Matt Ryan I bet he runs that offense better than Jimmy in Shannys offense. You gotta cut ya losses and right now would be a perfect time to bait/finesse a team in a trade.
