Who's the big wing in this scenario?

Brandon Ingram?

well it was partially a joke in reference to the Rudy Gobert discourse.

I don't actually think it's Mikal's fault, the entire squad is playing bad defense.

but ingram is shooting over him with relative ease.

#BROTHERSINBRON

LIEUTENANT NICK STANDING ON ALL TEN THIS A.M.

Wait until Uncle Shannon get his shots in, calling Perk now.
How loud can they be here when in each of the last 2 post seasons, KD has gone a round further than Bron?

What's going on with these white girls 🤣

Great seats and she out here with the ****. Great awareness from security. One dude sitting seemed not to even notice.

I don’t do the receipts, but do y’all remember during Ingram’s first year in NO, the thread wanted him traded? Man was up in points, rebounds, assists, and all shooting percentages, but he should’ve been traded.

Wild, wild times….

Dare I say Trae got bullied out of this series. Heat pushed him around to the point it looked like he didn’t even want the ball, plus Jimmy reading and picking off all his passes. AI and prime CP3 would never allow themselves to be taken out of a series like this. My boi Trae needs to hit the weigh room or something and toughen up.
The Heat are definitely making a point of being physical with Trae all the time, even when he doesn’t have the ball. It does seem like it’s gotten to him and he’s playing a little scared out there.

I thought the heat series was going to be a big test for Trae.
if he could torch the heat, you'd have to move him up a level...

but he hasn't

Seems like he can carve up a conventional defense as good as anyone on the planet
but he can't beat the very best switch defenses.

"If this was Kevin Durant on the Warriors, they would figure it out, because there was an offensive system in place, and the ball moves. But the fact that this is the way they played all year, as this ‘iso’ team, makes it seem like that. You have some faith in Durant, yes, but he might get it going or might start feeling good, but then Kyrie might dominate the next six possessions, and that negates all of that."

Anonymous scout. He is totally right..I was watching GSW stuff last night... This guy really left this to play iso ball off a major injury

Would Nets be in this position if they never made the Harden/Simmons trade?
You look at their problem now & they’re playing Kyrie/Seth/Patty/Dragic. All of whom need help if they’re switched onto a big guard/wing. KD/Drummond/Clax aren’t nearly enough on the back-end of that.

So all throughout the game you can involve any of those guards directly in the action & get a high quality look.

Boston’s offensive ratings in the 3 games are 120, 122, and 126.

Replacing Seth & Drummond with Harden fixes none of that.

And you’re ultimately not winning a title getting into shootouts in every series so all Harden would do is delay the inevitable.

I mean okay that's fine to say, but like Kyrie is not Curry.
Seth Curry is not Klay Thompson.

even you had that system in place,
the Celtics are basically built in a lab to stop that kind of offense.

they would switch everything, and you'd be stuck ISOing anyways

If the Nets had, Harden, Joe Harris, and they kept Jeff Green instead of Blake.
they'd be able to score on anyone, ball movement or not.

but they got 3 6'3 perimeter players, and ben standing on the sideline in street clothes.

hard for me to blame Nash for this.

... and KD w/ Kyrie is not Lebron w/ Kyrie.

Through process of elimination:
KD w/ Kyrie is not Lebron w/ Kyrie.

After the 2 championships gifted to him by the Steph and Klay players you mentioned, we were told that KD was a franchise player, belonged in the GOAT convo, all'at.

sure I don't think KD belongs in the goat convo
and I never thought he was better than lebron back when he was in GS.

Played with “such and such” injury all season excuses about to come up……

“Decided to hold off surgery until the summer”

42-15 FT disparity is crazy

I saw that live when he said it last night, and he also said something to the effect of "We were being aggressive, so we can't say that," something like that. And I thought "Yes we can say that." The Pelicans were being entirely more aggressive on offense and more disciplined on defense. Like that's just what happened.

Brooklyn has been generating plenty of good looks out of KD high PnR. They’re not switching Horford/Theis onto him every single possession all game long, so the pocket pass is there on the show. Occasionally they’ll even drop and he can get to his pull up.

There’s been 3 games, the Nets have scored well enough in two of them. G2 they had 65 at the half, at one point the Cs were facing their largest deficit in over a month. This defense is not impenetrable

Your margin for error is just obviously smaller & Kyrie isnt sitting in the corner & watching KD play point all game.

So they get out of KD PnR & occasionally get into trouble. Even still, scoring points isn’t the reason they’re not winning a title this year.

On the other end, there’s a 50% chance 1 of Kyrie/Seth/Patty/Goran is guarding the ball. There’s your problem.
