New facilities and "state of the art ____" will do the trick for a bit. Like you mentioned, sky is the limit if/when they sell the team too. A sport with no cap in a city like that? Watch Bezos mess around and cop that team LOL!

The Padres owner and GM have already said in the local media right after he got released from the Dodgers they would not consider signing him.
