2024 MLB Thread; RIP Willie Mays & Pete Rose. Dodgers win #8!

I wasnt thinking half the league...agree with round Robin or something. It's just the idea that the season is just about 1/3 of a normal season. It's lacking...

Ultimately, the WS winner will get the invisible asterisk either way, but an expanded playoffs restores some of that competitive balance in lieu of a full season, in my opinion.

I'll be watching though...

the proposal was 16 teams wasn’t it? Could be wrong though, it seemingly changed every single day

Who cares about y’all’s dumb fantasy draft... baseball is back... until 20 players test positive week one 😂😂

Opening day on my birthday. :pimp:

Was very disappointed in how this all played out and was really hoping for at least a half season but it is what it is. Glad there is something on tv to watch again.

Having never been on it, I continue to be fascinated by grown adults using this thing called Twitter

I love it.

All about who you follow. Follow people for news/info, it's great. Teams, highlights etc.

Ignore trolls and you're fine.

Where are the details...?
Havent seen any official layout yet...Stuff is kinda all over the place

Schedule is still waiting to be released

Fights are prohibited? So if you do engage you're out for the year? Beaned batters just supposed to take it??

So many athletes testing positive for Covid right now. I feel like they could make this work but too many egos and too many entitled people in this country. I can’t see anyone controlling million dollar athletes. I hope it works but I’m also cool with cancelling the season. Feel like there’s way more important things in the world than the NBA and MLB.

I’m assuming T Mobile won’t be doing the free pass this year?

Judge and Stanton still hurt?

Who do you guys think will sit out? If I’m a pitcher in a contract year, eff that noise, no way am I playing. (Even though free agency is shot for the next 4-5 years now)

42% of players making 100k or less on what is presumably before taxes. The top tier players were always going to get theirs. Wonder how much of an influence Boras had.

I don’t believe that’s correct at all. MLB minimum is 563,500. Unless you’re accounting minors, which I believe aren’t fully part of MLBPA
